Also on Sunday the pro Palestinian/ pro Hamas crowd seems to be unable to really mobilise a lot in Germany. In Berlin one protest with 1000 was reported. Protests in Berlin (German).
The only explanation for those extremely low numbers is that the Berlin Antifa/far left scene seems to be unwilling to march with them. Because they alone (without the pallis) usually mobilise 3000-5000 in Berlin alone. An average pro Gaza protest in the past was usually around 5000 or so. And that's in peacetime.
Despite the low numbers, there was still some violence reported when the police scattered the protests.

Hamas needs to be eradicated. There should be no restraint when dealing with Hamas. If Israel allowed it, the west should share the coming combat casualties.
I still don't know where your getting that western governments don't care about the Palestinian non-combatants though. If that were the case, the US wouldn't be flying in precision munitions. Read the words of their diplomats in their entirety - they all make a distinction between Palestinian and Hamas. They all say in effect that Israel cannot resort to barbarism if they want to be a western ally.
Public criticism would hurt Morale. This looks like it's going to be brutal. Criticism and demands are being made privately.

Sorry, that's just untrue. The Antifa and far left has been anti Israel since at least the 1980s. They often call for boycott of Israelian made goods etc. Antifa frequently marched with Pro Hamas pro Palestine protests.

Well I actually read his substack and months worth of info with context so yes. His word isn't gospel but it is informative. I think he's less accurate with this conflict then his coverage of Ukraine but he's brought up a lot of issues that are only now starting to show up.

Not sure I'm completely sold on the Iron beam. The US navy said they're years away from developing an effective laser weapon against anti ship missiles.

anti ship missiles are probably a lot bigger, a lot faster, and therefor a lot harder to melt with lasers than the homemade pipebombs hamas keeps throwing over the wall from gaza

They actually have the technology - the issue wasn't so much that the tech doesn't exist but compared to conventional munitions it's more prone to breakdown and rolling out new technology to ships is always slow. MAG cannons exist too but, once again, kinda redundant compared to just lobbing FLAK and counter-missiles. Depending on the ship, it's also hard to implement due to power demands, not so much on land with access to numerous power sources.
As the videos show, lasers aren't especially useful in weather that doesn't have clear line of visibility.
It is better than nothing though.
Shame, I've always wanted to see how effect freakin' laser beamz are in warfare.

It is extremely odd to me that Israel didn't have enough military power near the Gaza border to repel this attack. I'm not really a conspiracy guy, but is it possible they let it happen to have an excuse to wipe Gaza off the map?

I am sure Israel could have a Jewish Space Laser.
But honestly, it will need just too much shit for it to be efficient until we get easy to port fusion reactors. Lasers eat energy like a fat kid eats popcorn, and currently that means a lot of batteries, negating the entire downside of not having to lug ammo around.
So you can do what it does with another missile for a fraction of the price.
