We are. But why must we give material support like this? I believe the real reason is that all foreign military financing works like this: here are billions of dollars for your military. You must spend it all in dollars in the United States to fund the military industrial complex.
How much of that money ends up in the pocket of our government officials, well... that would answer why both sides of our gay aisle loves war. While I prefer Israelis and would enjoy watching them curb stomp hamas, I think the billions in tax dollars we already give them to funnel into the MIC is sufficient.
