(NewsNation) — Texas is expanding border security with new fencing. But the latest construction isn’t along the southern border, but along the state’s border with New Mexico.

Texas National Guard members were seen installing razor wire along the Rio Grande River north of El Paso, Texas. The area around El Paso is fortified with fencing and wire as the city continues to grapple with an influx of migrants.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Gov. Greg Abbott announced he had ordered the action.

“Migrants are entering New Mexico illegally then crossing into Texas,” he wrote.

Abbott’s border initiative, dubbed Operation Lone Star, has also included empty shipping containers along the border with Mexico and creating a barrier made of floating buoys. The state is currently in court after the Biden administration sued over the floating barrier.

Texas has also sent 50,000 migrants to sanctuary cities, including New York and Chicago, which are struggling to deal with the number of people sent from border states.

Recently, President Joe Biden announced construction of new barriers on the southern border in Texas, going back on a campaign promise that no more border wall construction would happen under his administration.

There's only one real way to secure a nation's border. But many are too stupid or too devious to acknowledge it.

I mean governor Hotwheels is just doing the job that governor Dumb Cunt refuses to do. She’s busy trying to ram through a de-jure ban on legal CCW license holders carrying handguns in her state…instead of addressing the immigration problem.

Or the homeless problem.
Or the opiate problem.
Or the “New Mexico is one of the lowest ranked states for education” problem.
Or the “crimes committed by nutjobs who aren’t using guns” problem.

I thought about doing a border run like a Palestinian fleeing North Gaza, but thanks to Lujan's retarded "let's replace every single interstate and highway in the state all at once" plan I figured I'd just get stuck in traffic and die when my gas tank combusts like a Hawaiian in a fire, so.

I encourage Texas to extend that wall all the way to Colorado.

To our European friends, let me explain New Mexico;
1. It’s all ugly desert and industrial farm. Utah, Colorado, Texas and Arizona are all far more pretty.

2. It’s all Mexicans, super angry drunk native Americans and white junkies.

3. Everyone in New Mexico is absurdly ugly.

4. Everyone there is dumb as fuck and eventually moves to the worst city on earth, Farmington, to die.

4. Despite being fat diabetic drunks, natives make some mean ass fry bread.

5. Everyone wish’s they could afford to live in Durango or Tucson.

6. It smells.

Hope this has enlighten you to one of the worst states in the USA.

Pretty much this. It can be somewhat scenic near the borders but the farther you get from Texas, Arizona, and Colorado the worse it gets. The big cities are especially ugly and the only city that seemed somewhat nice was Roswell with its alien wackos and military school.
 
Have they fixed their power grid issues, yet? Or is a bit of snow going to take them out, again? Either way, I'm fine with it. TX is as silly as CA in a lot of ways.
 
I would argue the north central mountains and even Sandia are better than or at least on par with most of what's in southern Colorado and parts of Utah but I swear to God the area around Clovis and even up to Clayton is literally the ugliest, most depressing barren wasteland I've seen in the entire country.

Not only that, it takes like an hour to get from one shithole to another, and there are no good looking cities there except for maybe Santa Fe.

Also while driving, you get to see all the farm animals who look like they're dying because there's almost no vegetation except for dry grass and plants.
 
It's still unfortunate that they're bussing the illegals anywhere but back across the border.
