I don't think so, unless they're so far gone that their entire understanding of women comes from the movie 'Mean Girls'. High school boys didn't get invited into the catty drama circles of high school girls, and if we did it probably would have gone over our heads. Men generally have never seen that shit firsthand, we're only vaguely aware that high school girls are even like this because of movies and maybe because some of us had little sisters going through it or our girlfriends cried to us about highschool drama from years ago that still haunts them.

When I think of women I know who fit that catty backstabbing bitch stereotype, I don't think of high school girls at all. I only think of like, one aunt and a few HR women and one aging alpha stacy who tried to turn a charity I volunteered at into her own personal Game of Thrones, and that's largely because I was never subjected to any of that nonsense as a high school lad, so I've only ever seen it in the women who never grew out of it. I think it would be largely the same experience for most men.

I have been pondering on the myth that women are catty to each other and their friends. Beyond the teenage years, women are the most supportive and kind to their friends. A girl's girl will have your back forever.

For your core girls, yes, absolutely.

Men think that things like baby showers and wedding showers are stupid, while women recognize them as important traditions to honor a key moment in your loved one's life. They'll wrap their gifts delicately, with hand written cards and stickers. They'll spend all year collecting bits for stockings and Christmas present ideas. Men will grab a gift card the day before and sign a dollar store card. Women will call you for hours and get you flowers when you are grieving. Women understand how important it is to make someone feel special and put effort into that. A man might do some of these things for his wife if she is lucky, but a woman will do this for her friends, family, and even relative strangers.

Women are trained to do these behaviors that hold the family/tribe/congregation together. Not all of them are great at it, but adults teach their daughters to do this from childhood. I remember my family forcing me to write thank you notes for every Christmas gift and struggling to come up with a positive use-case for each item
