That's crazy, it's like the weakest and pettiest allegation levied against them. I wouldn't be shocked if this was a tactical decision to convince their dedicated ball-fanners that this is the only criticism people have of them and basically just go "haha wow look at how crazy and stupid our detractors are".

I don't think you're considering the audience who this is for. This isn't meant to convince people who are against TRS to come back into the fold. It's not meant to debunk, or even refute, people who do sincerely believe mike is a jew. It's meant for their dedicated audience. People who even if they had seen the newspaper clipping about mike's mom at a jewish wedding, would assume it was fake or something along those lines. This is to keep the people who are already bought in to keep buying.
