2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

Thought this was interesting, From the Palestine protest in the UK earlier a group of Arabs take an LGBT Progress flag out of another protester's hands, Run off with it and step on it. source

I feel very strongly on this. I don't think dead civilians are OK. They're not right in Gaza, they're not right in Ashkelon, they're not right in the west bank, they're not right in Israel, they're not right in Palestine. Language about collective punishment, human animals, etc etc so forth opens up historical equivalences that either those uttering these phrases disregard or don't care about. If we as a species want to collectively improve, recognizing that certain actions cannot be contextually justified is an important first step. And its a first step that people show their inability to take repeatedly, year after year, day after day.
Unfortunately, Western society is moving away from your way of thinking at full tilt and most other societies (particularly in the Middle East) were never close to begin with.

If you look at the ethical and philosophical changes in the West since 2000, there's a trend of rejecting any kind of fixed moral principles in favor of groupthink. The new idea is that things are right or wrong because popular people say they are. For this reason, the popular culture has been tearing down its heroes and moral narratives mainly focus on the bad things we should avoid rather than good examples to follow. It's not even a matter of moral relativism so much as not doing any moral thinking for yourself and instead outsourcing it to peers and the media.

Anyone who knows marketing will tell you that you should focus on positives rather than negatives but positive figures are problematic because they create fixed moral points that can't be manipulated for convenience. Instead, people's behavior is driven through consensus, enforced by social ostracism with rabid true believers encouraged to attack dissenters when that fails. Yesterday's evil can be today's good if enough social media influencers say it is. Recall how when Ukraine popped off Facebook suspended their hate speech policies for speech targeting Russians.

This is the thinking that leads university students to cheer jihadis killing ravers. There is no solid right or wrong, only popular and unpopular. Butchering families in their homes is heroic if you justify it with the right buzzwords. It's interesting to note that the most prominent figure in the modern moral consciousness is Hitler and the most prominent event is the Holocaust. Heroes from the past are torn down and good guys in the present are quickly cannibalized but the main devil-figure of our public mythology towers above all unchallenged. Who does modern Western culture truly revere?

The current flareup in the Middle East is only the faintest hint of what could be in store if this trend isn't reversed.

Its an unfortunate case of having too much of the wrong sort of germanic DNA and then hitting the wall. I have forgotten which of the Kraut subspecies but I want to say Bohemia. My circle just calls it "Terminal Germanic Face" and gets worse once they hit the wall. Granted most girls hit the wall at 30 instead of 20 but Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome does.
She looks awful, period. She looks like a small child with a rapid aging disease, and her hair is so thin that it looks like strings.

I believe that her physical appearance and her mental health disorders are caused by malnutrition due to not getting enough nutrition from being on a vegan diet her whole life. I don’t believe that she has ASD. I believe that she was misdiagnosed because doctors aren’t familiar with the true cause of her mental illness. As for FAS, it is doubtful she has that as well as her features aren’t exactly like that (she doesn’t have a smooth philtrum).

For an ideology that preaches tolerance and love, they are ironically some of the most bigoted and sociopathic people ever. It’s an interesting and disturbing psychological phenomenon.

Dude, I love your posts in general, but this is just bottom of the barrel stuff. Some young kid got blasted, I dont even know what to say. Irrelevant to the war, there's gonna be a dozen of them per day soon, maybe a lot more.

I have a conspiracy theory that Greta was on puberty blockers to keep her looking young so she could appeal to the weird billionaire paedophile elite.

Isn’t her mum a MILF with massive tits or did I misremember that?

Thread tax: War is kino.

I don't see how Hezbollah reporting one of their men died isn't relevant to the war, especially when their death toll is still in the double digits.

The Shabak announced it is setting up a special unit charged with the assassination of anyone that took part in the massacre two weeks ago:

"250 Israeli soldiers and hundreds of Hamas fighters. I mean Hezbollah is just doing these martyr posts to gather rage/support and its common in Arab countries to post them. Doesn't mean its relevant if its not a commander or some high political figure.
Its just gloating over the dead.

But to each their own I guess, at least it's better than the 15+ page discussion about Greta and her fucking plushie.
