Comma splices are common in "speech" and, in my opinion, are a pretty minor error. I use them sometimes on Twitter and in forum posts when it sounds right, although I try not to. The same is true for run-ons (which I've complained about Nick using elsewhere in this thread).

But if someone like Nick is going to LARP as a writer and take grammatical detours at every opportunity during his shows, he should probably use proper grammar on his social media!
