Ever since the Speaker role was vacated, the impeachment inquiry into Biden has come to a stop. Time for the Republicans to stop infighting, and realize that Biden is the enemy, not each other.
From the POV of the Uniparty the enemy is the people who want shit to be actually fixed.

The are really fucked here

Either they go mask off and get the Dems to help elect a Speaker, showing the world that they are in fact a Uniparty and No matter how they get the MSM and lapdogs to spin it it will not go down well.

Or they let the GoP continue to self-destruct; holding up all that sweet sweet graft money all the while thier masters are screaming at them to keep the graft flowing. As well as pushing the public farther and farther to the right with more shut downs and "why blank is Trump's fault but this is a good thing" shit posts that not even the most fanatic Vote Blue shill can stomach.

This could very well be a watershed moment.

Maybe...

Democrats are getting spooked about a potential no-label independent candidate.

TLDR: The no label movement is a centrist independent organization that is likely to be running a unity ticket with a GOP president nominee and a DNC VP nominee. apparently No label polling shows that in this crowded race such a ticket could potentially eek out a win in a state or two thus throwing the election to the house.
The idea of picking a Republican to head the ticket (possible names include former governors Jon Huntsman of Utah and Larry Hogan of Maryland) is presumably intended to rebut claims that No Labels wants to take more votes away from Biden than from Trump. But as Third Way points out, No Labels’ own published polling shows a Republican-led ticket is more likely to actually carry a few battleground states and deny either major-party candidate the 270 electoral votes necessary for victory: Since they launched their third-party presidential effort last year, the No Labels Party has repeated a central refrain: “our bipartisan ticket, led either by a Democrat or a Republican, will not be a spoiler — we are in this to win.” But that has now changed. No Labels has made clear that their new plan is to put a Republican at the top of their ticket. And because they can’t win the presidency outright, they’ve indicated that their intention now is to exercise leverage over the winner by denying both major parties 270 Electoral College Votes (ECVs). That radical new plan would ensure a second Trump term.

I think the possibility for the election being decided in the congress this round is higher than ever. Kennedy and west are polling well for 3rd party candidates. Kennedy is getting at least 10% of the vote and west is getting 3-5%. Throw a no-label ticket in there with some recognizable names from both sides of the aisles and you're cooking with gas. there are also rumblings of liz Cheney running.
Kinda want it to happen just for the spectacle that would ensue, NGL.
I can't believe they allowed this to happen. How the fuck did the RINOs let McCarthy get vacated anyway? How could they not have foreseen this happening?

This is the most based timeline.
Their hubris didn't allow them to think that the freedom caucus would really fight back because after all, republicans don't fight back, they take the high road.

If I recall, one of the concessions made to the FC to select McCarthy as the speaker was to make it so that only a single person was needed to initiate a call to vacate. The RINO’s really had no choice in the matter, their only way out was to strike a deal with the Dems to have some of their reps to vote to keep McCarthy, but really that’s not something they can control. Perhaps the better question is why the Dems didn’t commit to saving him, he is uniparty after all.

The problem is that enough Democrats are useful idiots that don't know that they are a uniparty, that actually proving the uniparty would give them a crisis of faith and put their loyalty in question. It's already bad enough with some of the Democrats openly supporting Palestine over Israel.

Traitors are worse than enemies, and attempting to remove the fucker will amount to nothing. Better to gum up the wheels for as long as they can.

The real sign of something going down will be if the Dunkin Donuts on the center of the Pentagon reports high volume as soon as it opens instead of the usual 11a.m. rush. THEN we can worry.
I believe it's daily sales volumes are classified. Also if you want late-night-at-work meals or a corporate dinner party to celebrate something, you get pizza.

Help in the uniparty only goes one way. If some Marxist were about to take the speakership from a Democrat, sure, the GOP would "reach across the aisle" and "join hands" to "save one of our two great American parties." The Democrats, by contrast, are happy to get the popcorn and watch the Republicans self-immolate over corporate handouts.

The move to vacate rule was removed by Nancy Pelosi to protect her leadership position IIRC.
