They did not actually kill the man, at least according to Boneface and other people in Azov. It was (as they claim) basically a mock execution video made for the purpose of fear propaganda. However, the dude was still nailed to a cross and burned pretty badly so it's still a war crime.

Edit: I should add that the video itself is disputed, some people in Azov say that they had nothing to do with this and it was made by Russians/Donbabweans to discredit them as nazi thugs. So I will grant you it is possible that Boneface was not involved with this and is lying about it.

I don't know for sure, but I do know that he has other videos out there of him personally sending Russians to their maker in quite brutal fashion. So either way - don't fuck with this man.

They've got duct tape around his biceps which is basically just fucking up the entire point of crucifixion.
The idea is the weight on the arms as the body hangs down makes it very hard to breath, so the guy on the cross is forced to take the weight on the spikes through his ankles. Of course the pain of this gets too much, so after a while he has to hang from his arms again. Eventually he gets too weak and can't take the weight on his feet any longer and suffocates.
Crucifixion done properly took days according to the contemporary Roman sources.
If it was taking too long or the guards got bored they would take a hammer to the guys knees so he could no longer take the weight off his arms to hurry up the job.

These guys are fucking around. They have no clue what they're doing. They're trying to be scary but making themselves look like clowns. Seems like a lot of hassle. They also made the same amateur hour mistake those Narcos in Nicaragua did and put the nails through his hands.
At least they used tape so he didn't just fall off, but in doing so they fucked up the whole point of putting him up there in the first place.
At least the Cartel guys stick to what they know.

I don't know, wouldn't you think they'd want it done relatively quickly? Now I'm wondering about the frequency of this occurring, are we talking ten or more crosses? Burning alive still sucks.

Yeah crucifixion isn't really the sort of thing you can do in an active war zone, it takes too long and the chance of getting your position spotted and getting ambushed by vengeful enemy makes it seem like it wouldn't be worth the risk.
You do not want to be taken prisoner by the Russians after they catch you in the process of LARPing as Marcus Crassus and trying to crucify their guys.
In all this type of atrocity, unless.you're in a war of annihilation against an equally brutal enemy and are using it as psychological warfare, like Vlad Tepes against the Ottomans for instance, is counterproductive, it can more often than not make the enemy both more brutal themselves in reprisal (Marcus Crassus, the Tribune who crucified Spartacus's men at the end of the Servile War, had molten gold poured down his throat when captured by vengeful Parthians who had seen the way he treated prisoners himself, and decided if he was "so hungry for Parthias gold, he shall have a belly full of it") and make them fight harder.

You're supposed to treat surrendering POW's well not because its the right thing to do, but because it makes it less likely you'll have to fight brutal battles of complete annihilation against an enemy that won't quit.
Thats why every military strategist from Vegetius to Sun Tsu to Clauswitz reccomends its better to alway leave your enemy a way to retreat, so you're not having to fight to the last man.
Especially if the enemy are conscripts and draftees like the Russians, if they know they will be treated better by the enemy if they surrender than their own Commisars and Officers, they are more likely to surrender given the chance and not fight as hard.

If they've heard about the entire platoon that were found crucified in the next sector, they're more likely to fight to the death rather than be taken alive.

I’m bumping this thread to say that not only do I agree with this, but Grace 100% shows signs that she’s been mega molested by Ben.

Red flags include:

1. The fact that he even let her speak to that Whoremaxxxer creep and let him get away with demanding she’d lick her panties… instead of hunting Whoremaxxxer down and murdering him like a good father would.

2. Both parties have admitted to sexting each other:

Source: The source of where that screencap came from. He’s obviously not above using violence against his own flesh and blood, so there’s no reason to doubt that he likely was this way towards Courtney (which likely contributed to her leaving the family after a mental breakdown… why she didn’t take her kids with her is unknown, makes her shitty for not protecting them but I suspect there’s a lot more to the story).

Allegedly, Ben Thorpe admitted in a discord server to being under police investigation for admitting to having Courtney assist him in sexually abusing Grace:

With that evidence shown above so far, I have no doubt in my mind that Grace has been abused and the other children 100% need to be taken away. I have no reason to believe that any of this is an act; no good parent would ever behave in this sickening manner towards their children.
