I don't understand, all comics have a shitty story line, they come for the pictures lets be honest. As long as the pictures are cool then the story is good as far as I'm concerned.

I'm also more willing to try something an actual comic book legend like Mark Miller recommends than listen to anything Ethan Van Sciver grifts out of his mouth.
As someone who is a avid reader of both books and comics I have to say that comics were never high art nor should they be. Comics were originally made for children and many comics imparted good life lesson onto it's manly young male audience (with great power comes great responsibility and all that). They were also used a lot as propaganda during war times such as WW2 and the Cold War (God I miss comics that had Thor and Iron Man fighting commies). It was only in the 70's did comic storylines begin to become more mature as they were no under the thumb of the Comics Code which allowed comics to have more mature stories. I would argue that there used to be a cheesy charm to comics. They contained fun adventure stories that were good for a quick fun read and since the books were short and full of action sequences they appealed greatly with boys. Comics, more or less, are just action pulps with pictures.
Which goes to show why Eric July is successful in his endeavors while Juju wasted 30+ years of his life trying to be a big shot Hollywood comedian. Eric thanking his fans for helping him be successful shows that Eric, despite some of the faults he has, has humility. Every success person in business who I have talked to stated that the biggest key to running a successful business is humility. Juju, being a narcissistic sociopath, lacks the trait that would have helped him be successful in his endeavors. However, I would also argue that only narcissistic attention whores who lack any sort of humility and grace would want to be involved in Pedowood. Either way you see it Juju endeavors were doomed from the start.
