This guy showed NO remorse, denied everything, took the witness stand and looked terrible. People really think he's gonna get off light like Holmes, but at least Elizabeth Holmes showed remorse at her trial.

Unless he successfully gets charges overturned on appeal, which is almost impossible unless there are serious violations on the part of the prosecution, he's completely fucked.

Elizabeth Holmes only had a fraction of the same charges he is facing, to say nothing of additional ones he's still facing that aren't part of this particular trial.

These are major federal-level felonies which means federal sentencing guidelines apply. In order to reduce them the prosecution has to file a motion to request it and they didn't do so. Typically that's only done when someone cooperates with the prosecutors but their own offenses are too serious to completely drop or provide immunity against prosecution.

As for quirky genius, I’ve only seen journos try to paint him that way. Its not genius to just lie about what you're doing and exploit trust. Fraud is not a genius innovation, it's just cheating people.

I never saw Sam get much shit for his ugly schmuck appearance on SM. It was mostly cheering for the “nerd” hanging out with Tom Brady and Katy Perry. I’m sure some examples can be found, before the collapse, of ppl cruely mocking his appearance but it was a very small percentage. It was fairly good natured jokes when it was commented upon. I don’t think I’ve ever saw a photo of Caroline posted without 95% of the comments mocking her appearance as if she should be burned at the stake for the crime of not pretty enough. Women aren’t exactly popular in the crypto sphere anyway unless they are arm Candy to go with the lambo, but the hate Caroline got simply for being a plain looking was ridiculous.

My point was that after seeing the vile public discourse on her appearance it made it easy to understand why she was east prey for SFB’s machinations. You’d think a woman who was truly gifted in math and finance, not a token, with a degree from Stanford would be supremely confident but she was the exact opposite. Most of the insecure nerdy math guys are transformed after they get their degree from one of the Ivies. This did not seem to happen with Caroline even though she was a rare bird, a white Catholic girl, that could compete among a sea of Pajeet’s, chinks, and Jewish male math autists.

The judge needs to knock off one year for time served so that he can get sentenced to 109 years.

But Judge Kaplan is going to consider mitigating factors like:
-he’s a good kid who made some mistakes
-he didn’t kill anyone
-money can be replaced
-he’s remorseful
-he got in over his head

And he’ll probably end up serving about as much time as Chris did.

I think the sheer fucking audacity of this cunt is what will do him in. Witness tampering, refusal to adhere to bail conditions, complete absence of remorse and just the goddamn scale of his fraud.

My guess is he'll serve minimum two decades.
