I liked the idea that you could only do 2 consecutive terms and then would be barred for a term. The idea being you could get stuff done in the 2 terms but would be forced out before you became a lame duck. If the new guy does a shitty job the old guy will have a good chance getting back in the following election.

What’s the problem we are trying to solve? Looking at the courts in general, they’ve held up the Constitution pretty well. The biggest blunders have already been overturned with the exception of 2A post-Bruen rulings. That’s a matter of delay moreso than a fundamental problem the makeup of the courts.

Or put it this way: do you think Democratically elected judges in the Ninth Circuit would be any less liberal?

The biggest blunders have already been overturned with the exception of 2A post-Bruen rulings. That’s a matter of delay moreso than a fundamental problem the makeup of the courts.

Because they were taught correctly with Enlightenment principles, fair play, and a duty to be impartial. That's going away and it's inevitable at this point.

Correct, they magazine vendors are aware that they operate on a weekly, biweekly or monthly schedule and the date on it is meant to be the street publication date, so that is the magazine meant for week of Nov 6th. In the Madam President case, they had magazines for both on the shelf because the elections were on a monday so they wouldn't have a new magazine with results up until at best the 14th, when people stopped giving a shit about the immediacy of the elections.

If we're talking about the Senate it's eliminating the 17th Amendment. Return Senator selection to the states and suddenly a bunch of bullshit disappears overnight just due to having to buy off entire state legislatures and executives to fully influence federal policy.

The House is another matter, but gum up half the works and the average American is already ahead.
