I still think one of the major reasons that mtf is so much more prevalent than ftm is because to the over socialized male being a woman is so much more advantageous in modern society. When aggression, autonomy, competitiveness, and self sufficiency are replaced as important values by cooperation, agreeableness, desire for authority, social order and slave morality it heavily incentives more common female behaviors and mindsets than male ones.

The kind of men who would be frontiersmen and home steaders are now seen as dangerous and crazy and any sort of behavior which would encourage straying from the herd and its social system (most of which are traditionally male) are heavily discouraged.

Out of all the arcs in this thread the Welderboy arcs are the worst. They're like the Sansa Stark chapters in A Song of Ice and Fire. At least some of the other recurring characters spice things up or sperg out, but Welder comes in screams at ghosts and says the same few things over and over.

It's like tuning in to a show you like and it's a rerun of their worst episode.
