My litmus test for what makes a good therapist is how fast they’re trying to get you on drugs. If they jump to antidepressants immediately then they suck.

I think most men would rather not go to therapy, so it skews female. Consequently, most therapists are women.

I personally would not feel comfortable talking to a female therapist. I don’t know what therapy entails, I know tv gets so much wrong, so probably my conception of therapy is skewed. But personally I wouldn’t be able to open up to a woman I don’t know on a personal basis. It just goes against every instinct I have to avoid mentioning my feelings to a woman I don’t know. I don’t know if it’s instinctual, cultural, or what. If I had to pick between a gay male therapist and a female Therapist, I’d choose the former.

Actual woman hate incoming.

My family loves to watch those shitty Hallmark movies on the Woman's network. So whenever I need to help with something I end up sitting through a good 20 or so minutes of them.

Now I realize that these are peak female wish fulfillment and nothing more, and ordinarily I wouldn't care. But then I look at the state of the media I consume which has broken it's back trying to appeal to feminists, and I'm left with one question:

Why the fuck is male wish fulfillment seen as cringey and problematic whereas female wish fulfillment is seen as totally valid?
