I have really nice hair so I get away with a lot more shit than I should. Women are weird about what they find attractive in men, I've never gotten it, it's all weirdly specific fixations. If you just choose one thing about yourself you're at a good starting point with and lean into it, one of them will bite. "Oooooh...look at his skiiiiiiiin" sounds plausible.
It's true, current redhead loves my hair for some reason known only to her, I've had others absolutely love my eyes which makes far more sense, since they are pretty fantastic. I did the skin stuff for me, my skin dries out pretty badly and I'm not getting any younger so I looked into it, but women will notice things like that. It's like having good shoes, I think it's all about what these things say about you on a subcommunicative level. If you have nice hair, if you have good skin, if you actually look like you give a shit, it's either great genes or status signaling.
In the colder months, I always carry a small tube of lotion in my car. Cold and wind will dry out skin quickly and I don't like that feeling.
