One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

So is Bonney a Celestial Dragon? Is that why the government wanted her?
Off the top of my head for reasons there's that and also her connection to Kuma/the Reolutionary Army, something to do with how she survived the sickness and of course if her fruit powers persist eternally she can grant eternal youth. Which the Celestial Dragons would like because age shouldn't get to bother them and the Marines would like because they'd be able to get both Garp and Sengoku back to their prime. For a start.

Re: People getting their just Desserts.

I would like to remind you all that while Luffy is Carefree and doesn't typically put himself into "The Hero Role" on purpose. We have repeatedly seen that Luffy will absolutely fucking punch someone's shit in when he sees them personally cross a line and has already outright declared war on the World Government because of Robin.

When a Celestial Dragon crosses a line in front of him, Luffy will 1000% do something.
He already did once over Camie. He would do it again.

Theres probably rules where a CD rape baby isnt considered a true celes

Ive actually been waiting for a chapter where Bonney reverts Garp to his prime just so we can witness a cool ass moment

I just think it's interesting how a Celestial Dragon will just let someone they've stolen for marriage-rape purposes "go" like that when we've seen a Dragon mention to have his first five wives "disposed" of. It could be they just figured that her disease is terminal so she was going to die anyway, but something about it doesn't seem quite in character to me.

In fact Saint Charlos instructed for them to be returned to the rabble. It's possible they were killed but it honestly looks like they dump their victims back in the lives they had before.

But Luffy won't kill, that's the line the Straws don't seem to want to cross.

Don't think a bastard daughter will have much value, apecially when most of the CD are retarded mouth breathers, so it's not like her bloodline will bring anything useful with it. Like somebody else said, I'd bank on the fruit being what makes her interesting.

I don't think this is true.

Luffy has done what would be killing blows against a few characters. Wapol and Kizaru are Devil Fruit users and Luffy launched them off the Island. If not for Wapol getting lucky he would 100% be dead.

When he goes full toon town and starts ripping CD hearts and playing the sylophone with their open ribcages while laughing I'll believe it, till then, press X to doubt. He seems a lot more into "I will teach you a lesson by beating the fear of god into you"

I went ahead to archive this chapter because when the tankōbon comes out, it'll be finished and the scans'll get replaced. I chose to archive because I think the sketchy look is quite beautiful for this point in Kuma's backstory. Tekking101 pointed it out in his review, but I was personally intrigued with the look of it before he said that, and I think it needs to be preserved.

Oda has said straight up that Luffy crushes dreams, he does not kill.

And the story has shown he won’t crush dreams unless you annoy him personally by hurting a friend of his directly.

aren't Kaido and Big Mom confirmed unalive.

Also is it possible the reason he became a warlord and gave himself to CDs is related to bonney being alive? Pretty sure we havent gotten a solid answer on that.

That would make sense. His warlord status means Bonney either gets premium medical attention or access to Vegapunk himself, which could also explain why Kuma and Vegapunk became well aquatinted.

The initial plan against Big Mom was a straight up assassination plot. Bege might have been the one to pull the trigger but Luffy was willing to participate in it
Hasn't Zoro killed people?
he killed one of Crocodiles people who tried to recruit him. But that was when he first started his journey and wasn't a straw hat

I feel like Luffy doesn't necessarily mind killing assholes.

It's just that he personally prefers to do something he thinks is even crueler... make them live to see all they've built come tumbling down.

Remember, from luffy's perspective, dying while attempting to fulfill your ambition isn't something bad, isn't something to fear.
