It could've been for convenience. He replaced the drywall anyway, orders a dumpster, dumps large amounts of trash, hides evidence in the trash. Or, given what he's talked about I would suspect this is actually the last part of his cleaning job. A "just in case" facet. Not the primary one.
This is also part of why I've been so insistent on the idea of him getting arrested for just dumping her in the woods and her going missing. Too much time has passed to really get him on murder. You can argue the manslaughter charge pretty effectively.

Things are a bit better in the last ten or twenty years but I can’t tell you how many “missing woman” cases are just painfully obvious domestic murders that the cops just didn’t give a fuck and took the abusive partner’s word “she done run off” or they couldn’t build a case to get an indictment even if they we’re investigating the matter. It was ridiculously easy to murder your spouse and get away with it, as long as the body wasn’t found, for most of the 20th century.
The only reason I'm even cautiously optimistic is they're doing things like repeatedly interviewing him and asking him to do a polygraph. It's just possible they never get enough, even with this scumbag's arrogance and "if I did it" attitude.
Oh, the fact he’s repeatedly being interviewed and interrogated bodes very well. Him telling such and detailed and ever changing story is doubly good. The cops definitely think he’s guilty and want to nail him.

This is what I never understood about him. JF is a well educated scientist and he's breeding with actual mentally handicapped women? I'm sure he knows what the means for his bloodline and he still pursed multiple handicapped women. I can't reconcile that with his egotism. You would think he would want his kids to be the ideal definition of an über aryan offspring. Maybe he thinks his genes are so superior they would invulnerable to his partner's genetic defects.
