I didn't even watch it, I just watched the circus around it at the time. Fucking 15 years old. Christ. You couldnt have found a edgy anime with all this shit where they were at least Adults Nick? Or hell, something similar, like Shield Hero, where yeah, Woman fucks Naufumi over, steals his shit, the country makes him into the badguy, but instead of, you know, raping her, he forces her to be called "bitch" and "whore" throughout the land after clearing his name. Good lord
I’ll bite the bullet and say that’s the wrong hill to die on.
The character ages is never brought up to the point that most of the people who have read or watched it didn’t aren’t even aware.
Out of sheer curiosity I’ve even read some of the original web novel(just as horrible btw but with even worse writing) and that also never brought up the character she’s.
And because it’s anime, these teenagers are drawn with very adult busty proportions. Really with the exception of the loli character, you could be forgiven for assuming they’re all adults.
But I also think getting on someone’s case because their waifu is an underaged girl is a losing battle. Adults in anime are rare, and the teenagers never look or act like teens. So really unless it’s a loli series, you won’t win much on the age side, best just to stick to the actual content for criticism, which again is a “I’m going to rape the people who raped me” story about a guy who rapes, deforms, and brainwashes everyone around him.
Maybe, but grifting off it doesn't seem that much better. It's a dogshit show with very little redeeming value. People are naturally gonna make inferences as to his taste from that.
If he wanted to go with something "edgy," that caused a lot of drama, he would have been better with Goblin Slayer. It's a far better written show. That one was controversial among all the snowflakes because it had a rape in the first episode, but I don't recall the victim being underage. It was also far less wish fulfillment, and more "goblins are bad." A second season started airing just last month.
Hell, Nick is even into D&D, and it's one of the inspirations behind the show.
Actually, goblin slayer’s characters are also all mostly teenagers and the victims of the goblin rape in the series are all under age. Again, this is anime we’re talking about.

This is correct. The only time age is specified is that the main character’s powers awaken when he “comes of age” which likely implies he’s 16 and it takes him a few months to break the brainwashing drug.
We also are told the wolf girl was strong growing up, but her power limit ended early which is why she ended up a slave as she got older. The loli girl is also the younger sister of the princess, and since the princess’s power had already awoken she may be 16/17 with the loli likely younger, but no one directly says how old they are.
