The line is staffed by volunteers, so they work for free*. What you are paying for there is executive salaries and administrative overhead.

*IIRC from Troonblinka's finances being discussed before, Volunteers are given "considerations" such as stipends for their internet bills, etc, but are not paid like its a job. Only the executives get a paycheck from the non-profit.

The same applies to callers making bigoted commentary or looking to debate issues affecting our communities. Blocks cannot be appealed. Telephone harassment is a prosecutable offense.

While we have a strict policy against non-consensual active rescue, we reserve the right to report any call containing credible threats of violence to others and to comply with laws regarding suspected child abuse and neglect. See a description of state laws here.

All calls are recorded for quality assurance purposes, but the operator you speak to will only have access to the information you give them. Call recordings will never be shared outside our organization or with emergency services/law enforcement. We tag general data on the needs and challenges our callers face for advocacy purposes, but they are anonymous and untraceable to individual callers.

The expenses were what they always were - executive grift, board grift, and personal vacations masquerading as fundraising activities.

In 2021 - they raised nearly $5 million and gave a huge chunk to executives. They've got two execs that work ~4 hours a week that made $35k and $65k ($100/hour) with scout pulling $100,000 and Elena pulling $151,000. They list $1.7 million for other salaries and wages, but are a charity organization so I have no idea where the fuck that money is going. I would have to guess it's grift for friends and family (ex - oh you're an artist? Do art for our website here's $10,000) but it doesn't seem to be disclosed on the 990 form I saw. Also they spent $17,000 on training, which seems shockingly low for a suicide hotline.

I hate the players and the game, but I do respect they way these dickless freaks played it.
