Another weird editorial decision is that I think they have cut out every single storytime with Ben scene. When Simon got "canceled" there was a really funny one where Ben tried to tell a story about a time he did blackface and Simon immediately called Ben out on his bullshit. To quote president of the Fishtank: "This is like the worst motivational speech ever".
Ben's stories were my favorite parts of the show especially when Jon didn't understand that they could even be lies. One of the worst part of Jets editing is reoccurring jokes or subplots can't be brought into the future because they just don't have context.

Why are these Twitter spaces always filled with people who haven't followed the show at all? Like, during the livestream, it was obvious that even the "big community names" hosting them only got their knowlege from small clips on the hashtag. They had no clue what order things happened in or what happened outside of those clips, even basic stuff you would know if you were a more casual watcher/listener. Now, one of the Jet defenders in this last space STILL doesn't know how many episodes there are going to be, even if you see the listing when you log into the website... oh and now he said he hasn't even seen the last episode, even though it is an AFTERSHOW talk. Man, all the Jet "fans" are people who use Fishtank to boost their names online. I see many of them are trying to become video creators, and have made Fishtank videos/clips, and they are taking Jet's side on anything.

I haven't seen many people talking about the bullshit of the "extra footage" thing. If you got a season pass, you were promised "extended, uncensored cuts". An extended cut is a longer episode, not a button to a dumping ground for shit you cut out of a project file while working on it. Some random words are still bleep-ed out, on the website version, so it being "uncensored" is also wrong.
If something was not explained or has no context in the episode, it being in the "extra footage" is not an excuse.
One of them didn't know anything about Lance and what he did on the show last night.

You can tell Simon never believed he was actually being cancelled. His whole argument with TTS calling them crackers was him doing a bit.
Okay so I checked through the comment section here to kind of dissect how the chart was sourced and found this
1700001578414.png

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I think this means that the chart pulled its numbers from whatever was displayed on the site. Although that is assuming that the script parsed ALL of its data from HTML. Otherwise, I'd say there's a 50/50 possibility I'm wrong about inflated numbers here.

You would have to search the thread for the evidence but I remember the dev Wes saying there was always an extra 2-3k viewers at all times which had something to do with the code.

I believe the issue was that it counted 1 person watching multiple rooms as multiple people. So if you had tabs open watching 3 rooms, you counted as 3 viewers. Something like that so the initial viewer count was massively inflated.
I think they did fudge some metrics but not the viewer count significantly overall. I'm very interested to see how much interest there really is in season 2 once it kicks off since they seem to be fighting an uphill battle. The allure of novelty is gone. Then you have the holidays and other issues.

Frankly, I think I'd have more fun trying to capture analytics for season 2 than I would watching it at this point. I enjoyed season 1 immensely and it wasn't because of Jet, it was because of the community. He's taking the community aspect and making it overtly adversarial so it can be like his moronic games, I'm not paying for that trash. Less is more.

Is there a link to episode 6 online? just finished Ep 5 on youtube an need to see the show un-cut here on out.

That Twitterspace was pretty ugly on Jet's part. What gets me is how Frank actually tried to engage Jet as a friend and fellow creative and not in a hassling/trolling way, but Jet took that as a sign of weakness and blew him off. Frank stumbled a bit here because he was genuinely surprised and hurt by Jet being this arrogant and condescending, and insinuating that Frank only did this to boost himself.

Well now I just regret bringing up inflated numbers, It was funnier when I was ignorant and believed a lie.

I recall being suspicious of the numbers at times, it wouldn't surprise me if they inflated a lot of things but it's impossible to know anything for sure at this point.

Listening to Hassle go all in on Jet is funny. Thanks @Aidan for providing the full cut. Maybe I’m missing something, but I have no clue who these “dedicated fans” in the space are. They didn’t even know basic info like when season 2 would most likely start and just jerked off jet. The moment Hassle came in and started his criticism (god forbid), Jet basically framed it as “Everyone was being so nice to me because of this episode, and now you have to ruin it by giving your honest opinion and calling me out :(

It’s one thing to read tweets from Jet complaining about criticism, it’s another thing entirely to see him confronted in a public call.

I don't know them all either but the host was Black Mamba (link) who is probably better known as being the black lettychud guy. He was also at the Mondo Megabits party and took a picture with Josie. People here seem to be much bigger fans who actually kept up with the show whereas the people involved with that Twitter space seem like they're trying to use Fishtank or the MDE sphere to propel themselves... somehow.
When I went to grab his profile link I saw the recording was archived, I've downloaded it and will upload it if there's anything notable missing.

On people latching onto Fishtank for clout or whatever, it's seriously pathetic. Josie is the most successful fish post-tank and gets 300+ viewers per stream which is great but isn't not enough to launch anyone else and they don't even latch onto her, probably because she doesn't read their DMs though they also offer nothing. She can make her own thumbnails, she has her own mods, her fans are happy to help in areas she needs help in, she seems uninterested in talking about the show 6+ months after the fact.
I've seen them around Vance, Letty, and Sylvia sometimes which is moronic. No offense to them, Vance and Sylvia are especially underrated, but they have no clout to chase. These people are obviously not keen fans who kept up with the minutiae of the show so it's not like they're giddy fans meeting a celebrity, they didn't really even seem to respect Sylvia or Letty much in the call last night.

Last night is all I needed to know that they're a pathetic bunch who will say whatever they think will sound good to whoever they're talking to. It just doesn't make sense because the people they're talking to aren't all that notable themselves.

I apologize for asking but can someone point out the specific timestamp for when Frank shows up, please?

I'm making a summary of it right now, but Frank enters at 14:00
I didn't listen to much beyond the 14:00 timestamp so far but around the beginning, it kind of hurts to hear, I think some people were claiming that Frank hassled Jet on the twitter space but I think that's far from the truth (from what I've seen so far at least). Frank was pretty respectful, in fact he almost sounded like he was kind of hurt when he was talking to Jet.

Edit:
Didn't even realize Jon was in the space, unintentionally being a mouthpiece for Jet.

Seriously, I am fan of trying to make the experience more interactive, but that is between viewer and contestant, not anon viewer v. anon viewer. The only OK "new" idea (viewer request from the beginning) is for viewers to be able to pool tokens, but the clan stuff around that is more focused on the dumb wars that are all about making the viewing experience worse for the targeted clan, so don't join one if you just want to watch with normal video and audio. The development of the hook "You are the director" is that you now can make the image grayscale and mirrored for some random group of people you don't know.

Piping the stream feeds through your media player of choice with a free Kiwi chat on the side seems like the best possible viewing experience. This site also doesn't leak memory like crazy, so it can be left open without a constant need to refresh while I work.

im sure there were a thousand people telling him great ideas and advice but hes such a dumb air headed wigger he ignored it all
well no mr lake

you clearly haven’t put in enough man hours starting your own project giving out advice on something you know nothing about

jet knows comedy and editing more than literally anyone else

edit: after reading 6 pages of this thread, i've agreed with most of the opinions here. i think my first sign into not liking jet was when they were charging $40? for TTS that weren't peak hours and essentially was buttfucking your wallet without lube

then it went to jet's unfunny twitter mixed with his faggot engagement bait shit

i also hate how jet wants to make this a 10 year thing when he can't even include memorable tidbids to make a story/interesting plot. i'm just saying jet, if you want to pitch this SOMEWHERE. why do you have the shittest editing imaginable?

I've now entered full on hate with no willingness to see Jets side after listening to the fat fuck eat on the mic.
In the past I have been pretty defensive of Jet since he did help make a show I love but the way he acted towards Frank during that twitter space was just disrespectful as fuck. Smacking and eating into the microphone as Franks bringing up key moments of the show that were left out.
