I know/knew a lot of people that lived through that event, those that watched the TV broadcast thought Kennedy won, those that listened via radio felt that Nixon dominated. Even then, the debate probably didn't swing the elections as much as people would have thought, the 1960 election is probably the first modern election that was largely dictated by overt voter fraud, prior to that you would have to go back to maybe the 1800s before you got another election decided by fraud.

I'm aware of the fraud that was carried out by the mafia, but was that only New York or was the machine working on all cylinders in other cities/states?

Chicago, especially. If memory serves, Illinois may have swung the election. The Chicago "Outfit" had the voter fraud in their area sewn up better than even NYC, at least into the 80s.

JFK was related by marriage to Peter Lawford of the Rat Pack and Sam Giancana, then head of the Outfit was tight with Sinatra and leveraged that as hard as he could. At one point he and JFK were banging the same bimbo (Judith Exner).

So apparently there's going to be a vote on the government taking control of the internet today. Look it up and maybe spread the word. I don't have much detail besides the fcc is involved.

Edit: late and gay. Although I would like to see reactions from those who know Internet law.

As for where its hovering now, honestly... I'd say mid to high teens. His own party hates him, though whether they'd actually say so is an entirely different matter and even many who hate him will still pull the lever for him despite that simply because he has a D after his name and "has to be better than the other guy".

The spread is trending slowly worse.
We now have a more reviled "president" than Jimmy Carter.
At least Carter was legitimately elected.

The handful of real polls trending continuously lower will drag it down somewhat. But even if all of them polled at 0% approval it would not drag the average down past 36%.

The cabie could have nullified the "6 million Jews" card with these two options.

1. Dismiss it by saying that happened a long time ago like Zionists do whenever the USS Liberty is brought up.

2. Say that number is less than the number of black people who have died since leaving Africa in chains. If the journo questions the number, accuse him of being a Black Holocaust denier.
