That apology didn't come off as sincere to me. It just looked like a kid being forced by his parent to apologize to the neighbour who's window he smashed with a football. But hopefully it at least leads to Sam keeping more of an eye on season 2 of Fish Tank.
The "it's hard and there's lots of footage to go through" excuse doesn't land for me considering Jet fired the editor Frank recommended for him to specifically edit Fishtank so he could get his wigger friends to poorly do it for him instead.
Piss poor excuse and Sam at least knows it. I don't care what Jet says, one second he's flexing or talking tough and the next he's saying "I'm so stressed guys," lying about 16 hour days and sleeping in the office. Jet would do nothing but talk shit to someone outside of his circle who said the same stuff.
With an ounce of foresight they would have been taking notes in the basement as the show ran and could refer to them in the edit. Instead, Jet asked fans to do that for him for free
afterwards. If they did this then it wouldn't matter how much total footage there is, only how much there is for a moment which is narrowed down to specific cameras at specific times. Frank hassling Sylvia would be one of the more complex events to capture but off the top of my head most of it is narrowed down to B4, Kitchen, Living Room, Hallway Downstairs, Hallway Upstairs, B2 in order of most footage to least. You're going to ignore half of the cameras easily.
Not to be unrealistic, they should have a dedicated role and note-taking format so you can plug anyone into the slot. Jet, Ben, and Tax had to be too busy and tired to reliably do that on season 1. The point is, they obviously didn't think of this and now it's bitten them in the ass. Own it, learn, and move on.
1, it is sincere, there's literally 0 reason to think he enjoys contentions while dealing with the headache of getting the product out,
I'm biased and doubt his sincerity but agree he did it because it helps get the heat off. I would wager Sam talked to him and told him he fucked up, no way Jet independently realized his errors. Sam can walk the tightrope of prodding his audience and coming out on top, Jet can't. Jet was willing to burn a professional bridge publicly on social media and ignore longtime associates with genuine concerns, that's moronic and would make anyone think twice about working with him.
as much as onlookers might enjoy Frank speaking TRUTH TO POWER

, he's a bit of a conniving bitch airing it out on a twitter space,
Frank claimed that he tried to reach out privately but Jet was ignoring his DMs and Jet's response implies this is true. Jet went into that Twitter space to feel good about himself and Frank apparently got in touch the only way he could.
This is probably why Jet said he'll work on hearing out concerns from people on the show better. I hope he reminded him that you need to hold onto relationships like that. I can only imagine it's even more important in niche entertainment.
Both Frank and Jet handled it unprofessionally but Frank isn't trying to pass himself off as anything bigger than he is and presumably tried to do it the proper way. Jet thinks he's a hot shot and can talk down to people without consequence which will probably never be true and if it is I feel sorry for anyone working with him.
