"The unsophisticated masses merely desire the recounting of various anecdotes in high audio fidelity, devoid of subpar quality and unnecessary dead air. Their intellectual scope falls short of comprehending the grand vision that I, the visionary, hold beyond such rudimentary content."

LMAO, now I get why these official cuts sucked so bad. Jet was operating as a distinguished artist with a highly specific narrative vision, a vision unfortunately beyond the grasp of the unwashed masses.

That apology didn't come off as sincere to me. It just looked like a kid being forced by his parent to apologize to the neighbour who's window he smashed with a football. But hopefully it at least leads to Sam keeping more of an eye on season 2 of Fish Tank.

The "it's hard and there's lots of footage to go through" excuse doesn't land for me considering Jet fired the editor Frank recommended for him to specifically edit Fishtank so he could get his wigger friends to poorly do it for him instead.

1, it is sincere, there's literally 0 reason to think he enjoys contentions while dealing with the headache of getting the product out, 2, it is a hard task, 3, it's wiggers all the way down
as much as onlookers might enjoy Frank speaking TRUTH TO POWER ✊✊✊, he's a bit of a conniving bitch airing it out on a twitter space, and I seriously doubt Frank's own home wigger was the masterkey to untangling this, considering his shit has been edited like SHIT for years now

What we were all asking: If only Jon could share his incoherent thoughts on this topic!!

(some guy at about 12:08-12:20 posted the edit of Simmons jerking Jon off but thats missing from the screenshot)

Also, Jon just ordering people around despite not doing anything to earn their attention

As someone who's had his fair share of emotional spergouts in this thread, I'd like to chime in on a couple of things.
That apology didn't come off as sincere to me. It just looked like a kid being forced by his parent to apologize to the neighbour who's window he smashed with a football.
Voluntarily apologizing in front of others is a very awkward position to put yourself in. I don't think there's really any right way to apologize. However two things should have been done differently:

1. Jet needs to apologize to Frank directly whether it be in person, over the phone, or in voice chat. Doesn't matter if it's publicized or not. It's true Frank Hassled Jet later on in the twitter space but that doesn't mean that Jet didn't do wrong by him at the start.

2. Sam shouldn't step in to assist Jet with his apology, it didn't need to be cluttered up with excuses or justifications. All that was needed was to state what was done wrong and how they plan to improve. Jet kinda got that...kinda.
as much as onlookers might enjoy Frank speaking TRUTH TO POWER ✊✊✊, he's a bit of a conniving bitch airing it out on a twitter space
Well in his defense, he did say he tried to reach out to Jet in dm's but he just never replied to him. How he doesn't have a phone # to contact is beyond me.

Just watched Frank and Jet have it out on Twitter and it really speaks to how bad the final edit is. I was disappointed by Ep 1 and put it on hold. Hearing that they fired actual editors is fucking nutty.

Chris >>>>>>>>>>> Jet all day.

Piss poor excuse and Sam at least knows it. I don't care what Jet says, one second he's flexing or talking tough and the next he's saying "I'm so stressed guys," lying about 16 hour days and sleeping in the office. Jet would do nothing but talk shit to someone outside of his circle who said the same stuff.

With an ounce of foresight they would have been taking notes in the basement as the show ran and could refer to them in the edit. Instead, Jet asked fans to do that for him for free afterwards. If they did this then it wouldn't matter how much total footage there is, only how much there is for a moment which is narrowed down to specific cameras at specific times. Frank hassling Sylvia would be one of the more complex events to capture but off the top of my head most of it is narrowed down to B4, Kitchen, Living Room, Hallway Downstairs, Hallway Upstairs, B2 in order of most footage to least. You're going to ignore half of the cameras easily.
Not to be unrealistic, they should have a dedicated role and note-taking format so you can plug anyone into the slot. Jet, Ben, and Tax had to be too busy and tired to reliably do that on season 1. The point is, they obviously didn't think of this and now it's bitten them in the ass. Own it, learn, and move on.

I'm biased and doubt his sincerity but agree he did it because it helps get the heat off. I would wager Sam talked to him and told him he fucked up, no way Jet independently realized his errors. Sam can walk the tightrope of prodding his audience and coming out on top, Jet can't. Jet was willing to burn a professional bridge publicly on social media and ignore longtime associates with genuine concerns, that's moronic and would make anyone think twice about working with him.

Frank claimed that he tried to reach out privately but Jet was ignoring his DMs and Jet's response implies this is true. Jet went into that Twitter space to feel good about himself and Frank apparently got in touch the only way he could.
This is probably why Jet said he'll work on hearing out concerns from people on the show better. I hope he reminded him that you need to hold onto relationships like that. I can only imagine it's even more important in niche entertainment.

Both Frank and Jet handled it unprofessionally but Frank isn't trying to pass himself off as anything bigger than he is and presumably tried to do it the proper way. Jet thinks he's a hot shot and can talk down to people without consequence which will probably never be true and if it is I feel sorry for anyone working with him.

Sam says that there was 10 cameras worth of footage to edit, which is true but how often was there anything happening on more than 3-4 cameras/rooms tops? Still a lot of footage to sift through to be sure but definitely exaggerating by quite a wide margin
br 3 orb footage is always on the table

Jet needs to apologize to Frank directly whether it be in person
he doesn't need to apologise for shit, Frank's a goober and a lolcow in his own right - he apologised for the only thing "needed" to for, to get his own mind to a better place and to get beyond the seethe

the malfunction at the root of all this is is that Fishtank was the party and having to put out episodes of it is like having to clean up, it's being done in the spirit of regret of ever having promised it
because it's a headache, he's being avoidant - probably of the work itself and definitely of any messages what to him feel like haranguing; confronting him on a space is pushing his face in shit he's working hard on ignoring and not trying to stress about so it goes away (it doesn't go away lol)

I now believe that fishtank was a fluke and the new season is going to blow.
We'll see... For all the shit talking I do, I hope Jet in particular learns a lot a long the way and contributes to something great. The potential for good stuff is high but I'm not giving them money this time around, Jet clearly doesn't appreciate it and is frankly insulting.

Well i'll agree to disagree here, it doesn't matter what Frank is, if you did wrong, you did wrong, in this case I don't think that makes a valid mitigating factor. To me its a matter of principle, if he had the balls to directly disrespect frank live, then he should have the balls to directly apologize to him as well.

And all frank was doing at first was just voicing his concerns, I get how it comes off as abrasive b/c his language was like "hey there wasn't x", "you didn't do y", but I truly think he was just trying to reach out to him to talk and he felt that this was his only option. What do you propose he should have done? wait until AFTER the production of the episodes was over? There's no telling when he would have ever had a chance to reach out to Jet and I think he was in his right to say something.

Same. I accept Jet's apology and I get a project of this magnitude is insane for a Zoomer Soundcloud wigger to wrap his head around. I didn't get a season pass for season 1 until about halfway when Chris and Sylvia had their argument the night Frank arrived (I was rolling on the floor laughing and couldn't breathe), so I'll likewise wait until I get enough quality entertainment from season 2 to splurge.

I hope for the best, but I'm prepared for the worst.

Agreed. IMO Frank seemed pretty respectful and straight-forward until Jet started lip-smacking like a Kang and suggesting ulterior motives, then he went ham. I do think Frank bitching about shit being in his bag half a year after the show ended was a weak angle, but whatever.
