It may affect Cantu's other career prospects, but it won't affect his role as Gumball. He had already been replaced quite a while back for unrelated reasons. Gumball uses child VAs for several characters and routinely replaces the two main character voices when they get too old. Yeah, yeah, Pedowood jokes, but this isn't unprecedented. It probably started with Peanuts, and Hey Arnold is also pretty well known for it.
Anyway, Cantu wasn't the first or last voice of Gumball. He's regarded as one of the better ones, although I personally liked Jacob Hopkins a little more.

I don’t think that’s the point he was making, in the US it’s 21 and up to drink alcohol, meaning although Nicolas is a man he is not legally allowed to purchase it and whoever did buy it and give it to him could get into kinda serious shit if anybody ever snitched, shit like probation, fines or a small time in jail. More of a legality thing than a morality thing, in terms of purchasing cigarettes or alcohol he is indeed still considered a minor, whereas in terms of everything else he’s an adult.
