I think Dream likely did message him yesterday. After Cantu claimed that he tipped the driver a lot of money in his recent Tweet, I bet that Clay messaged him in the Uber app asking if Cantu actually left him a good tip. I think it is more likely that he is actually obsessive enough about destroying the Gumball VA to get in touch with this Uber driver months later than it is that he'd fake screenshots about it.
