𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

So Elon states you can say anything on Twitter and it’s free speech - regardless of the damage it does to a person or company . But when someone executes free speech and it hurts his bottom line, he’s against it.

Musk won’t have his cake and eat it too.
Slander is not free speech you absolute brainlet.

musk is kinda a faggot and also is definitely some kind of satanist lol. But the people he is suing are far worse. At least musk allows 90% of random shit on his platform while these cucks just want to control the dissemination of information entirely like the marxists they are.

Hopefully this ends up being a win for freeze peach. Fuck ADL adjacent Jew owned organizations. These guys are nothing other than annoying and trifling retards and I hope their entire organization gets gutted and bankrupted by the lolsuit.

The bar for defamation is higher in the US than anywhere else in the world but literally manufacturing "evidence" clears it

Musk liking some tweet has jack shit to do with this. It doesn't matter what reason advertisers say they paused ad buys. Media Matters' actions are either defamatory and malicious under the law or they aren't independent of what some third party may or may not have done
How exactly Media Matters' actions are either defamatory or malicious? If you don't have adblocks, you will see exactly what MM was saying.

Man, I must have some sort of paranoia. Everytime I read good news I have a thought crop up, "what's this smoke screen about?" The thought tonight was, with all these recent W's means the brown shirts are being culled. What comes after brown? Gas. Gas the rightoids! Huff the stinkditch overlord stentch. Who knew the FCC are tranny niggers.

You won't, though...? Media Matters' account is literally the only one in the world that saw that lol

Adblocks also don't work on twitter, the ads are tweets themselves...?

musk would have an easier case if this were true. but read his xweet from over the weekend where he mentions thermonuclear lolsuit, and even he admits the ads did come up organically for users who weren't mm, albeit rare. rare is still enough to spook advertisers

What I read was that ads for all the companies except Apple only showed up on this MM account's feed next to the yelling about Joos, and Apple ads showed up for the MM account's feed and one other account's feed. Out of however many accounts are signed up on twitter

The advertisers part really doesn't matter, the standard for defamation law is damage to reputation, not damage to ad revenue or whatever

Bold of you to assume they'd follow a court order to hold evidence. Media Matter's founder is close to the Clintons. I want them to fail, but I'm expecting favors will be called in to prevent it.
Withholding or destroying evidence is a no-no in a court case and gives the court carte blanche to make the worst possible interpretation of that destroyed evidence.

Regarding the Vic Mignogna situation, from what I understand, he was literally surrounded by bad actors - a negligent attorney, an extremely lazy judge, a one-sided leftist press, widespread anti-Vic activism on social media that included multiple convention censures, and professional "friends" that turned out to be anything but. What should've been a slam-dunk defamation case instead resulted in Vic's side being handed loss upon mind-bending loss at every possible turn.

Vic's case should've been a textbook example of why you can't go around saying anything about anyone, even a "public figure". Unfortunately, it clearly demonstrated that, not only can you get away with it, but profit, as I've read Vic is now on the hook for a LOT of fees and other "damages" by the very people that he sued.

Fuck fact checkers and shills like Media Matters. I can predict that MSM rush to defend Media Matters. I have this hunch something will be on news cycle during this lolsuit.
Already starting.

Edit: The fucking seething from the small portion of the left that used twitter to manipulate opinion. They lost their only reliable tool not beholden to the profit motive first and foremost.
