One time I read an erowid review of a psychedelic experience, I think it was a derivative of LSD or maybe DMT and he had a good experience and after it he was a really chill, anti-miscegenation guy. The experience taught him that other races aren't bad but we should stick with our own. I wish I could find it.
The guy who supposedly claimed eating boogers is good for your immune system was taken out of context by journalists. He made a joke and they reported it as a scientific fact. There is an actual study that says picking your nose could cause dementia though.

I thought this was a sub for people caring for loved ones with dementia and whatnot to comiserate, not dumb bitches who cannot keep a doctor. If every single doctor is an asshole, maybe you're actually an asshole patient?

It truly boggles my mind. I had a doctor’s appointment today because I needed a refill on two meds and antibiotics for a UTI. It was one of the most BIZARRE and infuriating interactions I’ve had in a long time. I’ve been having symptoms of a UTI for awhile now and I’ve been neglecting it because I can’t tolerate medical “professionals” anymore.
So to summarize what happened. I had to remind and convince this “doctor” that a urine sample was necessary to confirm that I had a UTI. Read that last sentence again. I had to ASK a fucking DOCTOR to take a urine sample for classic uti symptoms……….?????????????????????? I started LAUGHING. I was like this can’t be real. The entire conversation was the weirdest shit I have ever experienced. And man have I met some winners throughout the years. Let me tell you.
When I started walking to bathroom after finally convincing him to give me a urine sample (idiot) he proceeds to explain to me how to take the sample.
Y’ALL…… I was trembling with rage. I told the universe “take me out. Im ready now”. This was only a small part of the visit. Just talking to him I could see the dots weren’t connecting in his head. He also looked and sounded intoxicated. He didn’t even know how to read the dip results!!!!!!! This is like the 6th family doctor I’ve had an issue with.
The fact that I live in a fucking HOSPITAL TOWN and I can’t find legitimate help is comical. Like you couldn’t make this shit up if you tried. So he not only didn’t give me any antibiotics. He prescribed me a random medication for overactive bladder. Which I don’t even have!!!!! I never told him that!
I know this isn’t specifically about caregiving, but my mom’s PCP and his CRNP are insanely reckless. He prescribes her Xanax like candy. She will never stop going to him for that reason alone. He just took her cold Turkey off of baclofen and I told him to send her in another script because she has to taper. Like WTF?!?!!!!!!

That entire visit gave me indigestion and I haven’t eaten a thing in two days. That’s how angry I was. The only reason I held back was because I needed my meds. Don’t even get me started on that conversation. You would think I rolled up in his office asking for Xanax and morphine with the way he kept going on and on. I needed a refill on a ANTIHISTAMINE! A fucking antihistamine. Jesus Christ.
I want to write a formal complaint because one of these brain dead idiots is going to get someone killed from their negligence if it hasn’t happened already. How do these people even get through med school?! If I end up going septic im not going to the ER. I can’t take this shit anymore. I will just perish.
