Internet atheism was effective against the Joel Olsteens and James Martins of Christianity. They had the advantage of not needing to be polite to a foe that has to be polite. Against the more rude religious right who makes memes about inquisitions and mocking the godless, they're nothing more but bait; they can counter the skeptics' badly researched historiography with facts and logic from actual research that can easily be transmitted via internet. And the skeptics'usual tactics of insulting religion backfire when modern religious people rightfully point to the emptiness of modern atheism where they either have to retreat into Alt-Right edgelordism or leftist SJW thought.

To sperg a little bit more, especially about the last bit, the fact that secularism or atheism did absolutely fuck all to stop the most damnable and destructive superstitions in their tracks, mainly transgenderism or malthusianism, was a major wakeup call for a lot of people, I imagine.

Even fundies who believe that the world was created in seven 24 hour periods are saner and healthier than people who believe that they're women trapped in mens' bodies, or that we need to destroy peoples' quality of life or basic human rights in order to save the planet. And the fundies do less damage to society too.

Religious fundamentalists are spiritually-centered and usually know what it takes to live a good life; they just sometimes believe a few stupid things like video games or DnD are demonic or cause kids to kill people. Silly layman superstitions that the actual clergy laugh at. Meanwhile, modern political fundamentalists believe that a man mutilating himself is the same as a woman who can give birth to children, or how it's OK to have these mutilated men play against women in ball games and combat sports. Secularism and atheism did fuck all to stop these destructive superstitions; in fact, by chasing away the locus of society that was once religion, they enabled it. Breadtubers and SJWs are the result of people trying to create a new religion to replace the old one, just like how Stalinism and Maoism was the Commies' attempts to create a new religion once they chased out the old ones.

I still to this day think the funniest out of all the BreadTubers is F.D. Signifier for how hilariously stupid and out of touch he is, coupled with the bare minimum of video editing, eloquence, or skill needed to convey his points. There is such a common line in his videos which he says "That is too much for the scope of this video so I'm not going to go into it" over a much needed point to accurately confirm his viewpoints. Keep in mind, this is the same guy who makes hours long video essays so he clearly has more than enough time to get into the topic and defend his points, but chooses not to either out of sheer laziness or because it doesn't accurately defend his viewpoint as he claims.

Then there's this classic of him going outside shot in stunning 240p where he describes a situation in which he is genuinely surprised that white men experience poverty and problems too at around 49:05
It is great comedy value, if nothing else.

The accusations of Genocide are just so bizarre. Even if we accept Gazans as some sort of unique racial group (and not one city of Arabs representing half a percent of their population), only about half a percent of Gazans have been killed. 125,000 Berliners were killed in the Battle of Berlin (and those were just the civilians, I wasn't sure how many Volkssturm or Berlin police were killed) and no one except for nutty neo Nazis calls that a Genocide. I've never heard anyone call that a Genocide. The only example I can think of where a clearly military operation (where civilians are not obviously being targeted with no feasible military purpose) was called a Genocide was the Siege of Leningrad where a third of the civilian population was killed, and I still personally don't think that it qualifies.

But if half a percent of the population being killed in a war counts as Genocide, I guess that Israelis were Genocided in 1948 by the Arabs.

Still, it's way more of a real Genocide than the trans Genocide, so I guess it's less absurd than the usual crying about Genocide that Breadtubers do.
