Because he tried to murder an entire car's worth of people as part of inter gang fighting.
In 2012, while drunk and high, he shot into a car carrying the relatives of a rival gang member. One of the victims was 16-year-old Yesenia Castro, who was shot in the back.

Then he rejected the plea deal that would have got him to 30 years.
I'm with you, 162 years seems excessive. But 8 years for quadruple attempted murder is a joke.

The inherent problem with sentencing murderers and the like to prison terms as opposed to taking them to hang as soon as judgement is passed is shit like this. No matter how you cut it, some DA or some fucking Governor or whatever can and WILL commute their sentences for political points. If you are found guilty of murder - quadruple gang-related murder no less - you should be hanged the same day the sentence is pronounced. Simple as that.

Funny how some Jews choose to hide their identities. They change their names so Israeli's don't know they're Jewish. Some Jews know too well neither side, Israel or Hamas, actually want peace and they know "their" side is constantly fueled with hate and fed propaganda. This is one of the main reasons a lot of Jews have fled to the States: to get away from all the bullshit.

The whole think is Hatfield Vs McCoy. It won't stop until one has turned the other into a parking lot.

If this world had any balls, violating a ceasefire agreement should result in the whole country being wiped from existence. We have a Geneva Convention for a reason I hope. Obviously, they are exempt from being outright pariahs because they're Middle Eastern.

Speaking of that, I heard that pro-Hamas protesters tried to disrupt the Thanksgiving Day parade. I'm not surprised.
