Her character models from the 'animation development' she was doing for awhile actually reminded me a lot of that one animated Titanic movie. So, her art is like a cheap Italian Disney knock off and she might have a career in dopey octopi and rapping dogs.

Looks like I was mistaken. She has a bright future ahead of her after all.

It's also weird that her favorite character is one of the most visually stimulating Disney movies. The character designs weren't that great but a lot of atmospheric choices were just awesome. The same thing with Atlantis. Even then the character designs themselves were unique for Disney movies, a lot more detail to the actual models than most I can think of.

It did look really lazy in places though like they had to cut corners because they were being rushed.

Oh my Glob( typo but I'm going with it. I like it.) DisneyFan01 is my faaavorite lolcow. She's hilarious! Oh and I've seen the current incarnations of Marina. She went from Mary Sue to God mode power kill sue. Last I checked Marina was the key blade master, a princess, magical fairy-type thing, could fly (but only sometimes) swordsman, master sailor, navigator, cartographer, artist, and singer.

If I remember correctly, that description is rather apt.
What is it with Suethors and amazing singing...?
Gah. And she can play the piano well.
I remember it was described that she was not only a beautiful singer but was complimented because "it sounds like [she] sings when she speaks" or some bullshit like that.

And remember, she's ALMOST a princess. Gah. That pisses me off. SO SPESHUL.

Last I read, she and Genie/"Gene" (gah, her fucking nicknames, even when she's supposed to refer to the person respectfully) disappear for two whole days without telling anyone to go sight-seeing on their own (when they were given orders, although they fulfilled them quickly because who cares about anything other than Marina?) just because she thought it'd be funny to piss off the captain when she's already been warned about pulling that shit AND when they were needed back to help with repairs. And she gives more information than necessary to show off her smarts (read: to show that her author can read wikipedia articles).

I'm beating a dead horse, but with how Marina is I'd be terrified if she was allowed along on my adventure.

I think Suethors make their speshul characters great at singing (or dancing, or piano, guitar, music in general) because that talent is almost sure to get attention. If you can sing well or dance well, people are going to notice. Be it the center of attention at family events, getting parts in school plays or being able to just say "lol yea i can sing but not like really well" and then proceed to (dis)prove that. That- and I think people assume just because you have a knack for or are good at singing then you don't need to work on improving that or hell, doing other things.

Not to shit on people who can sing or who have dreams of using that skill.

She made some Rule 34 comic where she loses her virginity to Silver. I don't know how graphic it gets, I've only seen the first page, but if it does get, ah, juicy, I'm sure it's as bad as everyone expects. I remember she liked to put Marina in sexy positions and outfits but NOPE, A VIRGIN U GUIZ.

She's not as entertaining as DF is, that's for sure. Her OC is apparently a Mary-sue self-insert that she ships with canon characters, but that's really the only thing I can glean from her ED article. A lot of people on DeviantART do that, though. I'm not sure how Dolphy responds to helpful critique -- DF, on the other hand, gets defensive and throws tantrums.

Being female and also into Dragonball Z I can tell you that a lot of the female fans consider Piccolo to be their favorite character. And most of them also have some sort of sexual attraction towards him as well.

I've only skimmed it (I value my sanity), but from what I gather it is some sort of... Kingdom Hearts-esque Disney Metaverse where all Disney stories exist within the same world (EDIT: And Beetlejuice, for some reason)? Couldn't tell you why they are all there...

I think Jon Silver had to assassinate her early on or some shit. He didn't because true love.

It's the exact plot of Kingdom heart. Little black creatures called "nightmares" are attacking the Disney world. Fortunately Marina Seadrift is here to save the day and make friends with all the Disney characters. It's hard to say what the rest of the plot is because at chapter 58, she's just barely getting around to explaining it.

Funny that you mention Simba though. Marina is currently nursing his baby lion cub, Koba (Koba? What happened to the Swahili names? Koba is an island off the coast of Australia. Good job.) back to health. She is the definition of "Princess-Ballerina-Veterinarian".
