If the Taliban were not directly told that the deadline was changed, they could've been in the process of packing up only to find bullets flying over their heads. That's a major breach in trust, let along completely ignoring the previous agreement that was written and signed.

Ukraine is not a religious war and as far as Israel goes the US is literally sending materiel (and soldiers) that would normally go to Ukraine.

How many of those Azov ultranationalists are excited about this new plan to make Ukraine an "inclusive, multicultural experience"? How many people waving pictures of Bandera are happy about this?

This whole war and the reasoning behind it is just peak clown universe. The ultranationalists that would rather die than be compared to Russian dogs (literally the same people, that speak nearly the same language, and have shared history dating back a millenia to the founding of Kievan Rus) are fighting on the same side as the people who want to turn Ukraine into a multicultural brown stain.

What the fuck is going on???

Any proposed agreement shoved onto Russia is going to be treated with the assumption that the west will willingly and eagerly breach it before the ink is dry. Angela Merkel gave the game away when she said the Minsk agreement was only meant to buy the west time. I’m sure Russia already knew that but any agreement is going to be in bad faith. It’d have to contain the following that are considered deal killers to the west:
  • Recognition of Crimea as Russian territory
  • Ukraine’s east provinces either become “independent” or are outright annexed to Russia
  • Financial compensation for all the Russian assets the west seized and liquidated since the start of the war
To the Kagan kikes who hoped they can carve out several republics, this is untenable. They spent their whole lives planning for this and now it’s out of their grasp forever. Hopefully the Russians are able to keep moving westward and continue to rub the west’s nose in their own shit.

The same thing that happened in 1919, the 1940s and in the early 1990s. Any attempt at Ukrainian nationalism is inevitably hijacked by
(a) Outside groups who use it for their own purposes.
(b) Idiotic peasant mentality groups who want to go on a mindless killing rampage

For the groups in the western Ukraine, its as much about religion as anything. Its more about those Orthodox dogs than the Russian dogs if you get under the surface. But they want two contradictory things. They want a "pure" Western Ukrainian Roman Catholic state AND they want all the non-Ukrainian territory that was put inside the boundaries of what was called Ukraine after the first and second world wars. They can't have both. But the want both and are willing to die for it. If they were willing to settle for the natural consequences of their actions (another landlocked Belarus style state west of the Dneiper), they could have that.

The vast majority of people in Ukraine voted with their feet and left it long ago.

If Russia can successfully hold onto its new territory and get other BRICS countries to recognize it, the postwar order is done. I think this is really significant. Since the foundation of the UN, we've been living in a world where there was global consensus, headed by the Security Council, on which government's jurisdiction ended where, even if we hated each other. As gay and retarded as the second half of the 20th C could get, it wasn't a fraction as violent as the first half, so IMO this was a good thing. But since the fall of the USSR, Washington just couldn't resist trying to get cute and push Russia around, thinking it could logic-trap and rules-lawyer Russia into giving up key strategic assets. Russia said "fuck that," and rolled in with tanks, and the US responded by...taking the rule book, setting it on fire, and insisting that everyone play by the rules it would make up on the fly from now on. That has in turn made it pretty easy for Russia to build international allies on the premise that the American insistence on "rules" is self-serving hypocrisy. Because it is.

I sure hope we're not in for a lot more war, but I'm afraid the 21st century is about to get really ugly.

It's definetly like a WW1 era propaganda thing that tanks are these invincible bastions that guarantee victory. Like no, the milisecond they were deployed onto the battlefield militaries around the world were working around the clock to find a way to take them down. That was 100 years ago so imagine how efficient they've gotten at doing so since.
