Lots of the posters on BANG are being incredibly disingenuous by implying that TRS and NJP are TOTALLY SEPARATE THINGS BRO, and if you're not a dues-paying member of NJP why would you deserve answers?
The difference is that prior to conte, pretty much every person or group they severed ties with was already somewhat divisive and generally trs/njp was in a much better position to spin a positive narrative for themselves. Johnny had been set up as the butt of jokes for a while before the paranormies got kicked. People liked the godcast, but it's pretty easy to sell people on the "obnoxious e-christian" angle. A lot of people don't really know about Gordon/Amerikaner, so that wasn't really a huge issue for a lot of people. Once you've got a top guy being forced out, that raises some eyebrows. The Conte situation by no means destroyed these people but I imagine it planted the seeds in a lot of peoples' heads. Then jazzhands leaves on good terms. People are sad about that, but it is what it is... until sven freaks out and goes off on what a retard he was and needed to be kicked out. McKevitt is quietly given the Stalin treatment and it's never addressed. These are no longer "random online spergs", these are 'movement leaders' and respected commentary figures, all being kicked out or driven off in less than a year for unclear and sometimes contradictory reasons with no effort made to clarify how or why. When they're handling the removal of someone as important as Striker the exact same way they handle severing ties with literally who's like Gordon and Amerikaner, people notice that, and as we can see, they are not liking it.
