Playing the devil's advocate here for a second probably but I find the "bad decisions are their own fault" to be a bit cheap since everyone's ability to make informed decisions ultimately depends entirely on their information sources being reliable in the first place. Yes, there may be hundreds of stories from detransitioners telling her why this is a bad idea, but when said detransitioners' stories are only hosted in places that she were told are alt-right cesspits and shouldn't be trusted, I find it difficult to place all the blame on her for falling victim to propaganda.
