Also why even search his shit and not the drive at the data center? Or maybe they did exactly that. I don't know police logistics on this, much less in Gaynadia. Would they go after your personal shit first if they were concerned with hosting, or the contents of what's actually serving the offending content?
I mean if they just searched the data center, wouldn't the target be notified so he could wipe his own personal stuff before they got to him?
Or is poa.st just hosted from his own personal shit?

A magnet won't wipe an SSD. Maybe fuck it up somewhat. I suppose if you dropped an actual fuck huge magnet on it you might shatter it, and the computer it's in, and the table it's on, and maybe the floor beneath it.

Bit off topic but to clarify magnets vs. non-volatile memory. SSD and other forms of non-volatile memory that use IC (little black chips) for data storage are pretty much immune to the use of an external magnetic field as a method to erase data. This is due to the data being stored and accessed through a difference in field potential rather than field strength. Disk drives with over three TB capacity could also be immune to most off the shelf permanent magnets. The coercivity, external magnetic field strength required to flip or erase a bit, in a modern disk drive with close to one TB per 3.5 inch platter is so high that most off the shelf consumer permanent magnets won't be strong enough. The greater the storage capacity the tighter the bits are packed together and as a result the stronger the coercivity required. An appropriate analogy for the field strength exerted by a three TB or greater drive head to flip a bit would be similar to forcing the water from a fire hydrant through a hypodermic needle. A permanent magnet is more likely to damage part of the voice coil assembly and or drive head of a disk drive rather than erase the data.

Met a guy twice through an acquaintance, noticed his laptop background was of a little anime girl getting her teeth brushed. If you've been on 4chan for any amount of time you're probably aware of the innuendo of it.
I like edgy jokes but I thought that background was too far by many miles. Not worth reporting to the police, though.
I don't know every aspect of graf so he might be lying but getting a weird stop by the cops, and assuming there's not more going on, it sounds like what I expect would happen with that guy I mentioned: someone makes some creepy jokes in public without realizing people are looking and listening.
Assuming he goes outside lol. Also jokes usually hide the truth in them somewhere.

Something he conveniently failed to get a picture of.
I can only assume that the shape had lights on it that went in a rotation and his wet brain interpreted it as being a star of David.
