She's from Montréal, and the citizens absolutely frown down on you if you don't speak fluent French. She was born in Greece but said she never knew the language, but her first (primary) language is English. Her mom came from Chicago and I think her dad is Egyptian/Greek if I'm not mistaken. She learned French in school and her primary language is English, which is why I don't understand how she doesn't know how to say the simplest of words.
