Probably someone who realized that Gen A, Gen Z and a large portion of Millennials are not going to spend hundreds of dollars in shark cards for 1980's vehicles and clothing in GTA Online 2.
Because Rockstar has never embellished their settings by adding unfitting things like jetpacks, rocket cars, mad max battle cars, and various other vehicles that are practically ripped from 80s movies like the flying car that is literally the Back To The Future DeLorean. Or adding style that totally belongs in downtown Los Angeles such as functioning Tron suits, mad max armor, android ninja armor, and alien costumes of various levels of authenticity ranging from greenman ayylmao suits to detailed predator expys

Because Vice City already exists. What you're describing has already been done. Why do so many people apparently want to be served the same thing over and over again?
Please list like 3 modern games that are akin to Vice City with a similar time period and setting.

And I disagree with the premise that you need the 1980s for the Florida setting to be interesting. It's still a state that's strongly associated with weird and wacky things happening in it, hence the Florida Man meme.
I'm not saying you strictly need the 80s to make Florida interesting.
Yes, Florida man is a meme, but as a setting for an 8hr campaign and online game that will last the next decade. It sounds like a hard sell for me, broh.

If you like it, all the more power to you; go grug out in the Florida swamps with my blessings.
The biggest rumor I'm holding some hope for is that it will span all three areas of Los Santos. Liberty City, and Vice City. Given how much they talked up the development of the Los Santos map from GTA5 and the sheer amount of work it took to construct that map. It would be insane if they didn't bring it back in some capacity.

If this is going to be a sendoff to the third generation of GTA games, I hope they at least give Liberty City plenty of new bigger buildings and extra detail. A touched up port of a map from 2008 probably isn't going to cut it anymore.

I need to see Liberty City as a playable online map. With all the new innovations in 3d modeling it would be so fucking sick to have a more expansive New York styled city. I want to be able to release animals from the New York Zoo.

LET ME RELEASE THEM.

Hispanic women are either the most anti-black demographic in the U.S. or the second-most compared to Hispanic men. Those complaining about blacks ought to realize that killing them in this game would be wish fulfillment for lots of Hispanic women in real life. I recommend getting a Latina gf in 2025 and noticing her tendency to kill African Americans when she plays the game. I'm not even kidding lol

note: one of the most pro-black people I've met was a Russian Trump supporting friend of mine from New Hampshire (almost all white state) who was dating a black woman in NYC

on the other hand, the most anti-black people in the USA are mainly lower income hispanics who live near blacks. They're more anti-black than lower income whites who live near blacks.

I'm interested in seeing the Carraways (upstate New York).

Another confirmation that old Rockstar is dead: So many fucking leaks. These faggots even leaked their huge announcement trailer on Youtube. How do you pull that off? Old Rockstar was like an iron curtain, nothing went through.

Oh and that social media stuff in the trailer was awful.
Pretty hard to stop leaks when you have a dev team the size of a small country.

Only games I get excited for is warhammer 40k
I would like to respond to your post but this is not the appropriate thread to do so.

Imho Rockstar has been a good studio that managed to outlive many of its competitor, but corporate rot is starting to to show since RDR2 (maybe?).

I really enjoyed the first RDR and had some fun with early GTA.
"Too big to fail" is an illusion, every giant crumbles eventually.

At the end it won't matter. This game is for normies who buy a console every generation only to play CoD, Fifa and GTA religiously. It making a trillion dollars is guaranteed regardless of how much banter there is online but AAA shitposing is always fun.

Remember how Cyberpunk was a catastrophe that spawned endless memes but the game had already made a profit on release day so none of the reeeeing mattered? at least it was funny for a hot minute

Also the ftgirl version of this is gonna weight like 1 TB lol.

YouTube Title: GTA6 best game ever.

Video content: George Floyding random black people. Picking up black people and throwing them off cliffs. Shooting a rocket launcher at black people at a beach.

Ban Reason: Racism.
I know Josh is typically against adding new stickers, but I really do think it would be beneficial to have one that evokes a meaning of "Sophisticated. Prestigious. A man of class, tact, intelligence, substance and style.".

I'm reminded again of the cultural impact that GTA III brought to the table. Nothing like GTA III was ever experienced in that media at that time. That freedom of causing mayhem came at a cost of consequence and progression. Nothing stops you from utilizing that sandbox in a simulated city to JUST be reckless, yet the formula encourages you TO progress into the story to get the most out of that sandbox.

The dad actually made a great point. He wanted his son to have the maturity and foresight to understand the context of GTA III as a piece of interactive media so it would not mindlessly consume his developing way of thinking. That's actually great parenting.

Does anyone else find it weird how GTAV and, at least based on the trailer, this game dont have any kind of color filters or a color pallet like the other 3d games? I know prople like to shit on the "piss filters" and stuff, but those exist for a reason, they can be used to give the atmosphere a different tone

Grand Theft Auto VI will be the “Joker” of all GTA games when it’s all said and done. Unlike GTA V, it will actually get more subversive to the point where they treat this game as an actual movie and not really a satire on the “modern” world. There’s nothing we can do it about except pirate it play Bully and be lucky that they will never make another sequel of it in current day.

I will give credit where credit’s due and thank Rockstar Games for putting a famous Tom Petty song in the trailer, as I see today‘s Generation Z and young Millennial audience wanting to be Tom Petty fans now in the same way young people love Kate Bush because her song was in Stranger Things that one time

To think that it’s only been six years since he left this Earth.
