I can't seem to muster any excitement over another season. After seeing them coddle Josie and basically rig the whole thing in her favor I just don't care about Jet's e-whore hookup show. The Eric Hayden CEO callback in the trailer was nice.

They've had difficulty finding contestants because of it being during Christmas season so they're trying to get fans on the show. Additionally, Shoenice was going to be on the show but has pulled out due to health reasons.

There was the Frank versus Jet argument where people wanted the #HassleCut, also the quality of the episodes have varied greatly resulting in Jet being very gay and butthurt about people complaining. Jet's apology to Frank and the fans was on that same episode I believe

Like others said, episode quality has been extremely polar. Extreme highs, extreme lows, as they swap out editors and crunch for a second season.

Shoenice was rumored to come on next season but said he has an issue with his pancreas and needed clearance from a doctor, the doctor cleared him and then he sorta ghosted and now it's up in the air again.

Frank wanted an emotionally tender moment with Airsoft Fatty to be in the episode that featured him most, he and Jet got in an argument on Twitter and Jet got very egotistical and said Frank was "pandering to the resistance" against him.

I assume the air is clear now that Jet apologized and they found the perfect way to include it as a flashback.

Jet has also said there will be toilet cameras and we will be able to see people shitting. We don't know if that's a lie yet or not.
 
Chris unclogging the upstairs toilet with his barehands (He went elbow deep in the bowl btw) getting totally covered in other peoples piss water then screaming over his bag was golden.

yes you can. its no less stupid than that montage idea. Like i said, they should have had a funny narrator. Specifically for stuff like this, have Josie be a hidden contestant throughout the season. Also this is a big reason why reality shows will reshoot scenes. Could easily re do the ending just using Sam and have it be like Josie literally came out of nowhere to be Letty's final challange. Hell Letty would probably be up for reshooting some stuff for the "season" as well. I know Jet's a fucking idiot but this has been common to reality shows from the start. Even if its a spontaous moment they'll have people re do actions if they want to get the action from a different angle. Thats a big reason you don't see the camera people constantly in shows even when it looks like they should be in a shot if they truely had all these camera people all over all the time. For Fucks sake they could have even given Letty and the rest of the cast or crew talking heads to really move the shit along.

A great example of this is The Joe Schmoe Show where its clear they're cutting a lot of shit but they hide it sort of well with the talking heads and narrator. Just in general the cable reality shows would do this shit constantly because they didn't have the money or the time to shoot everything as well as they should. In fact shame on Jet for being such a stupid zoomer. The Joe Schmoe show was straight up the Gen X version of fishtank. It had the same "hell house" premise it had a fakeout ending, it had a protagonist that was tortured the fuck out of but audiences ended up loving by the end, it even had the freeloader bullshit and quite a few similar challenges. Including their own version of Striker!

I know its more because its such an obvious idea than an outright rip off but especially if you're editing a show like this for the love of fucking god please learn how reality shows work. as others have said, Jet should have been editing this fucking thing since the show ended or while it was going on. he didn't make notes or think about the "narrative" of the show. even the length went from 20 minutes (for the first fucking episode!) to 90 minutes now. its garbage.

who would have thought? /sneed This is literally a big reason why reality tv shows don't shoot over christmas. especially because its not just the contestants, you also are fucking over the crew doing this. the only two times survivor finished filming after december 10th are considered the worst seasons by both the cast, crew, and viewers. Something in humans really gets shitty around the christmas season and makes everyone fucking miserable. Having only the saddest losers on the planet who would in fact prefer living in a "hell house" vs being with friends and family is going to make this season fucking awful, you really think a Josie or Letty or Jon would not want to be around family during christmas?. I bet the crew isn't going to be happy campers about it either. So if you think you've seen some lazy, shitty crew on fishtank. Get ready for 3 weeks from now. I bet the crew won't even be doing any challanges during dec 22-26 and they'll be maybe 2 crew actually inside the house with the cast that entire time. meaning its a waste of everyones fucking time.

Literally Start it January 2nd. I'll even give you a great opening for the fucking show/a promo: have all your contestants do a talking head where they talk about their New Year's resolution, have auld lang syne in the background and then have a narrator or Sam facing the camera say "be careful what you wish for" with the song from officer maggot intro or some other similar song in the background with a montage of the craziest stuff from season 1 like punching the walls and the yelling and chaos and cut to the titles. "Fish Tank Season 2! Coming This winter on Fox! Streaming now!" also the two could be II and have two planes crash into them to really hammer in the fact that this promo is straight from the best marketing executive of 2002. You could pin that stupid promo to the youtube channel and the other social media accounts so on the offchance people click on one of Jet's annoying fucking tweets they might catch that FishTank is going on right now.

Finished episode 8 and my opinion of Frank Hassle remains the same. He's a tryhard who wants to seem badass but has to resort to the gay schoolyard bully routine to make content. He doesn't have the comedic talent or intelligence that Sam has to be entertaining so he does the lowest common denominator "I'm going going to get in your face knowing there is nothing you can do about it" shit. Anyone whos decently sized could do the content he does.

Finding out Mauro was from my hometown was shocking. I didn't think anything worse than Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Cristal Skull would come out of that shit hole but here we are.
