Kelly only went back to sending her girls to school after one ended up with a lifelong, dramatic heath condition that requires close monitoring and maintenance. It wasn't a selfless decision on her part, it's to make her child's delicate health someone else's problem. If there's a time when a responsible, loving parent would not want their kid to go to school, it'd be after she's just been diagnosed with diabetes type one and they're too terrified to let her out of their sight in case she eats something she shouldn't or forgets to monitor her blood sugar and collapses.

Narcs either spend less than nothing at Christmas, or else they spend thousands of dollars they don't have. Either way it's a public flex for the narc, and a way of manipulating their offspring. One of my brothers, his wife spent at least a couple grand on each of their kids at the last Christmas I attended with them twenty odd years ago. The brother and his darling son then gave me shit about my reasonably priced gifts to them (while giving me nothing at all) and that was the last time I ever gave any of those evil fucks a single cent.

I’m all for women being stay at home moms, if that’s their choice. In many , many ways it’s far superior to daycare, which most working families have to resort to, unless they’re lucky.
It’s the constant anti-capitalism rants that she flings out which fly in the face of her own extensive consumerism which is “problematic”. Especially considering that in her “Socialist eutopia” world, she’d have to work while the state raised her kids. Which she obviously doesn’t do.
So is it “no ethical consumption under capitalism”, or “lemme spend all Jer’s salary on crap”?
