If SCOTUS declares you can't go after a president after his term has ended, that means Biden will never face justice (assuming he lives longer than his first term as Resident in Cheat).
After banging my head against a wall multiple times on twatter, I'm going to explain this:

Allowing ANY government to prosecute a sitting president essentially opens up a large avenue for undue influence on the president. For example, NY could have moved to indict and prosecute Trump while he was president, and then the prosecutor attempting to pull a backroom deal for legislation the state of new york wants passed through congress. This is why the president has quasi "immunity" during his term. The remedy for this is impeachment and expulsion, which opens up the president for prosecution. One of the largest hurdles, that people seem to want to be ignorant of is this little gem right here:

The impeachment clause is what governs crimes while a POTUS is in office.
The most important thing here is Trump WAS impeached subjected to trial, and acquitted of the allegations Smith and his hit squad are trying to bring again in the courts.
This isn't just about the impeachment clause, it's about double jeopardy, which is being violated with these cases.

What this poster gets wrong is that impeachment is political, not criminal. But it begs the MOST important question in front of the supreme court that nobody has asked yet: Does a senate acquittal count as a legal acquittal for those actions? Some people will say no, it's political not criminal. I think those people are full of shit. The house is like a grand jury, with the senate being like an actual jury. The only difference is that these jurors are elected representatives of their people, not some schmuck who's getting $15/day to wait for his name to be called, and without jury selection disqualifying people, it's even MORE of a true "jury of your peers" than anything else you could have. I've literally had people say with a straight face that a judge is better than the senate because it's a judge's job to interpret law, ignoring that congress are the people who actually write them, and there's no better source on the "intent of the law" than those who wrote it. If congress says you're not guilty of a law you wrote, then what in the ever-loving fuck gives anyone else the logical right to say "no, I know better than you"?

But if you want the god's honest truth, I think they will slap this down hard for one reason: It opens pandora's box of government destroying actions that can be done. The ramifications of allowing the DOJ to prosecute the previous president for job duties (yes, speaking to the public about politics is a legitimate duty of the president) without a senate conviction will absolutely ROCK the foundation of this country. And when you take into account he still has 2 or 3 other cases pending that can achieve their same end goal, the juice is probably not worth the squeeze.

Man all this slowing of inflation is totally going to change the reality of how the most consoom of holidays and it's preceeding days had literally no one buying anything.

There was a waiting list for ham even during Covid, now the guys here were STILL trying to offload that oldass shit.

And all these "christmas sales (of 3% off a 25% markup teehee)" still isn't putting feet into malls. Or grocery stoles, or anything really.

Guess trying to scam people doesnt end well as a place of business that requires consistent sales. Especially when you failed a shit-test like covid shutdowns.

Joe Biden issues demands for Israel to “change [their] government” and to give Palestine freedom

At the start of 2023, Biden didn't give a shit about those living in East Palestine, OH. Now that 2023 is coming to a close, he "cares" about the those living in the Palestine of the Middle East.

Talking out of both sides of their mouths. Jesus said in the bible you can't serve two masters. You'll either love one and hate the other. And Vice Versa.

These articles were posted within hours of each other. The hanukkah event was yesterday. Not sure when Biden made these comments about Gaza.
Much like a post I made back in September, he is less Palpatine and more Mac.

Some Obama admin people kicked around the idea of prosecuting GWB for the Iraq War and ultimately decided not to for this very reason. It's a nuclear option. The problem is, these hysterical retards really do think a second Trump administration is an existential threat ("HE MIGHT...NOT START ANOTHER WAR!!! OR SLIGHTLY REDUCE ILLEGAL MIGRATION!!!") and have clearly already convinced themselves that prosecuting the past President is something that will only happen to Trump.

The Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal on conversion therapy bans in Washington state. Thomas, Alito and Kavanaugh voted to hear it, but Gorsuch, Roberts and Barrett cucked out.

I think I tend to agree with declining to hear this, even if I find the content of it absolutely reprehensible. States need the ability to regulate their medical field and though this one is a fucking outrageous outlier, there is more benefit to leaving the issue alone. I do agree with Thomas that this is censorship of speech because it strangles the medical provider into giving political party approved solutions to "medical problems," not leaving it up to the medical professional to tailor the best course of action for the patient. Its 100% Lysenkoism in action, but I don't think there is an easy out here for SCOTUS to apply that wouldn't otherwise gut the ability for the states to regulate their affairs.

Inb4 Alt Right Joe 'Jew Destroyer' Biden simply confused Palestine, USA with Palestine, Middle East.

I absolutely agree, killing Trump is opening Pandora's Box. If they do that, gloves are off and nobody is coming out unscathed.

Ah yes, a woman supporting the same exact policies that brought on someone like Trump is the new face of the GOP.
Trump is old. If Trump dies of "natural causes" and a Desantis autopsy or "special federal autopsy" all confirm it. Nothing will happen.
