I started watching Styx back in 2015-2016 when I got involved with the alt-right. I was introduced to him by people on the old The Right Stuff forum. A few people there would watch his videos. To me Styx is just a good way to get news. He has most of the same political interests I do. I can just watch his videos and not give any shitty news sites clicks. I can listen to them while I do stuff. His political analysis and his takes on certain things can be pretty good. His predictions can also be pretty accurate sometimes. The only reason I even watch him is because we both have the same kind of opinions about certain political happenings.
Other than that he can be extremely cringey. Especially when he goes off the rails into other topics. As long as he sticks to news current events and US politics he can be pretty good and informative. As much as a human text to speech translator can be. But I can only tolerate so much of his cringe though. But so far he is the one of the few talking head on YouTube I can tolerate as long he is covering news current events and US politics. I don't really give a shit about his Boomer tier gardening crap his life the idiotic religious and "spiritual" shit he believes in. His worst moments is when he goes off the rails and starts talking about other shit. Like his takes on self improvement are cringey and Boomer tier. Almost to the point they remind of some "Boomer pill" meme shit.
Before 2015-2016 I never even knew who he was. I might have seen him a few times on YouTube years ago. But nothing more than a passing glance and I moved on. I know somethings about Styx though. He voted for Obama at least once in 2008. He admitted he was on the road to becoming a NEET. He was one of those Millennials that went off to college and dug himself into debt and found out he couldn't get a job that paid much. Not enough for him to pay off his student debt and support himself. He started out on YouTube as one of those fedora tipping atheist faggots. LARPing as an Satanist. I think he was just trying to make a name for himself by being an edgy. But YouTube was flooded with this types of fags. By the late 2000's and early 2010's YouTube was full of "content creators" doing the smug snarky atheist bit and shitting all over Christianity and Christians. So it wasn't fucking new. So he started moving towards politics. Then when Trump came along with the rise of nationalism and populism he jumped on that.
He was basically a poor broke Millennial who voted for Obama at least once. Meaning he was a Democrat. When he made it big on YouTube and started making money he became a republican. Funny how that works. All of sudden you have money and you don't want to be taxed anymore. When he was broke he was a Democrat. This basically makes Styx a hypocrite which is why I don't take much of what he says all that seriously.
I noticed he didn't do his usual uploads for a few days but I didn't think much of it. But I keep seeing people pushing this theory that he is in some kind of marriage trouble. I wouldn't be that surprised. I don't know how long he had been seeing this Dutch woman in the Netherlands. I know he announced he was getting married in 2019. I didn't see the actual announcement. Was this like an internet only thing? Did he only have contact with her over the internet? When I was posting on various alt-right forums they would have meet ups. On The Right Stuff they were called pool parties and on Daily Stormer they were book clubs. So what would happen is people would get together meet each other and then spend the next several weeks talking shit about each other and saying how much they can't stand each other. I mean openly. This wasn't some kind of behind your back thing. My point is the online persona often isn't as good as the real person. You might think someone is cool because of their internet behavior then you find out they are an asshole weirdo or whatever.
I think that's what happened here. She liked internet Styx but can't stand the real deal. Having to live with your internet crush probably isn't a good idea. You might find out they aren't all that great. A lot of things are lost over the internet. People can keep things hidden while online. Never meet your heroes and all that. They did live together for a few years. But after being exposed to Styx for so long she just couldn't take it anymore.
It's a bitch though when your wife throws you out and you have to take a 12-14 hour flight that probably cost several thousands dollars back to your parents house. It's not like hopping in your car and driving for an hour or two.
My other idea theory is he just married some kind of goofy modern bitch. Most modern women aren't marriage material. Matter of fact most people don't get married anymore. Marriage is like some antiquated thing Boomers used to do like moving out of your parents house at 18 buying a Harley having kids or finding a decent paying job. That shit just doesn't happen anymore. Wedding dress and wedding ring sales have tanked. Anyone marrying any of these modern bitches is a fool.

Am I wrong in thinking Styx doesn't really qualify as a full on lolcow? He's an eccentric for sure and most likely on the spectrum but the most cowish behavior he has is arguing with people on twitter. The dude is married with children. He has his life together shockingly well for a long haired former stoner. I just don't see enough lolcow qualities for him to qualify. The core quality traits of a cow are lack of self awareness, inability to learn from past mistakes and inability to step away from the internet when you are making a fool of yourself.
