Who actually wants to go on Twitch to watch body painting or hot tub streams? Last I checked, the Hub and many others like it are entirely free. Is it still the whole "they feel like Twitch thots are pure and untouched virgins/girlfriend experience"?

It's funny that I heard about them backpedaling this change before I even heard about the rule. Twitch desperately wants to be a porn platform. The staff are all coomers who feel powerful for controling the platform their favorite ethots are on. I think the only thing stopping them is probably Amazon and advertisers. It has all the halmarks of a porn site and anyone who has used twitch for years has seen it coming. Allowing non-gaming stream was the first sign that Twitch was doomed to a slow death. Adding bits and cheering just confirmed that their intention was porn.

I don't know how long Twitch is going to be able to sustain this. Twitch built a community of groomers and coomers. If they're reaching the limit of what they can get away with they are going to lose out on platforms that allow more explicit content. It's too late to rebrand into a video game streaming service. Video game content isn't profitable compared to "react" content and hottub streams. I think Twitch is another one of those companies that was taken over with the intention to crash and burn. I'm convinced the Twitch staff are hoping for quick short term gains, get their porn, flex their power, and make sure the company is beyond salvaging so that no future generation will ever be able to own it. I honestly don't know if theres any ACTUAL term for it but I know exactly what you are talking about, but feel free to steal that if you want. So many series, properties, services, ECT have this crap, but there really should be a proper term for this particular thing, because it seems so VERY intentional. Nobody at twitch who greenlit allowing nudity could be THAT stupid to not see how badly it could go, I think its EITHER trying to just burn the twitch brand, or an attempt to push degeneracy under the guise of "oppsie woopsie we made a fucky wucky" type excuse. Thats a key thing these people do, claim ignorance where they really aren't. But its frequently used because it garners sympathy and "understanding". a while ago they were overrun with gambling streamers but i think by now they have purged the platform and mostly got rid of the gamblers, the reason being pressure from advertisers who really do not want to be associated with gambling due to its questionable legality (i think it's straight up illegal in most american states and many other countries)

with the (soft) porn it's a bit different because their PR people can spin it into an "we are empowering women to make money!" feminism narrative, which makes advertisers hesitant to speak out against it for fear of being seen as anti feminist. and there is a big kernel of truth in this narrative: the largest and most successful female streamer on twitch is amouranth, whose main claim to fame is being the queen of titty streamers and having a huge onlyfans. these internet prostitutes are a significant part of twitch's content now, and they generate a huge amount of revenue.
