As to guns, I find it funny that they believe that one person with a gun is a threat to the entire town yet most of the non-nigger small towns (under 15,000) are more high trust.

We are talking about bikes in yards, gun stores with a single pane of glass, or places where you can leave a laptop in a cafe.

I wanted to take the train at least once and thought it would be cool to go through the Chunnel from France and up to the north of England for scenery. It would have been $500 to do that. I do adore that book for all its faults. Adds to the charm for me as it’s like a lot of survival guides: bad information that’ll get people killed thanks to the good idea fairy. A couple other highlights in that book are fuddlore with the guns (he wrote that a 22.lr will consistently ricochet within a skull and that AR-15/M16s are unreliable junk (which if it were the case, why did many an army keep it in primary service for decades?) and that their sights were to be adjusted with a nail (it’s designed to be adjusted with the tip of a bullet, which if you’re shooting the gun, should be in supply) and also wrote that zombies could be hunted underwater if you use an air compressor to breath from while submerged.

My favorite was the battle of Yonkers from World War Z. "Oh the bombs were completely ineffective against the zombies because they were meant for buildings."
