The funny thing is, as wierd as the Infinitely Expanding Fatverse is, I honestly can't tell if this is a joke or not.
A lot of popular authors, particularly those who write multibook series have beta readers. Usualy they are long term superfans who know the lore and continuity as well or in some cases even better than the author, and can find mistake or inconsistancies. Considering Patrick has no fans, and his Tiny Tim on the Moon book is standalone, it makes his claim doubly funny.

Maybe it would be something done more by editors and specialists known funnily enough as proofreaders.

That's the beauty of the Tomlinson Technicality. You think he's lying about one thing, but he lies about so many things simultaneously that even when you point out the obvious inconsistency, in his mind he can still say you're wrong. Why? Because you didn't point out ALL the lies.
Case in point: the "There is no Rona, stalker" thing.
His usual response when people say he admited he threatened to kill the baby is "No, as the report clearly states", because that's what he told Rona, while to the police he only said he'd kill PCJ. But when people say "Rona told the police you threatened all 3" (which is correct) he changes his response to "There is no Rona".
Why?
Because Rona legally changed her name sometime later. Now she's called something like Reyna/Royna (one of the rascals found her on Kyle's FB a couple of years ago, she was still friends with him after their divorce). So... technically... "Rona doesn't exist," is a correct sentence, and therefore he did not lie.
