You are right in that tor usage should catch on more, it's really not that hard. The issue is more about a completely US legal site being censored and blocked off from access for the apparent crime of stating things a small group of people with far too much influence happen to dislike.

They get away with it because they are either a protected class or British. Think about it, they have done far worse than Null. i think xenforo has a feature (might be a plugin?) to force users to read a thread. you could put up a new thread along the lines of:

hey, i'm ready to pursue legal action. i need a lot of money, here's how you can donate.

you could tweet and maybe mass-email the userbase too. bit heavy-handed maybe but desperate times call for desperate measures and if it results in enough cash for you to retain good representation and bring forward a case then it'll be worth it. there's been a few people express interest already, who knows? sometimes people need to be pushed a bit.
