PROTIP: While not a full IP disclosure, posting a traceroute like this does reveal your geographic location (in this case, Lower Earley, UK).

Not only do I not live anywhere near Lower Earley, I've never even HEARD of Lower Earley. Presumably it's one of Virgin's data centres?

10.53.35.1 is not my router's external IP address. I've no idea why it shows up in that traceroute, but I wasn't bothered about posting it because I knew it wasn't mine.

These lines have appeared in subsequent traceroutes:

I hear actual letters are something they look at and if there's any luck they might be looking for something to bother people about. Depends on the congressman of course but I guess you never know.

I actually wrote to my Congressman and the Zodiac before and while I didn't even get a response from my Congressman the fucking Zodiac actually wrote back to thank me for writing but that he wasn't my Senator, and with the contact details for who I should write to, which I thought was neat. I know it was likely just his secretary or someone but it still impressed me getting a response when they didn't have to.

The only thing that disappointed me was he never put the little cross symbol on the letter.
