You know the thing they are missing is that "single family homes" are meant for families. Like if you have 4 people that 2000 sqft house becomes 500sqft per person, and bigger houses are meant for families of 5 or 6 with grandma living with them.
These idiots want a multigenerational household cramming into a 2 bedroom apartment they can barely afford.

None of them see any fucking problems with the trajectory our societies are headed and if you point any of it out they can't think beyond calling you some conspiracy nut, and I think it's not because they support the trajectory, but because they literally can't rationalize or put pieces together. They fundamentally cannot think or operate beyond a child's capacity. It's the only possible way I can find for how utopian and dreamy their visions of the future are and why they feel the need to constantly belittle and demonize any opposition to the point being opposition is cartoonishly silly and stupid from their perspective.

The whole "15-minute city" thing is rage-inducing. We KNOW that Birmingham (UK, not Alabama) wanted to make some sort of plan that redirected cars out of the city and wants to design "quadrants" that don't see much travel-to-travel points, we've seen all sorts of anti-personal vehicle plans, and some cities have explicitly wanted to basically redevelop everything into some sort of planned community. Then when there's inevitable pushback they turn right around and call you crazy for thinking that it's a problem.
It all depends if he was trying or not; if he wanted to smoke them out and full masks off mode, he did quite well.

In computer terms, it would be like tasking the CPU with ALL operations, instead of, you know, having a graphics card, a audio chip, a hard drive, etc. The slow down would be nothing short of catastrophic for all but the most basic operations.

They’re actually not as bad as they look. Certainly they’re better than their counterpart in the west. The western ones have prettier facades, but there is zero greenspace, between the building and the road is just more asphalt, and behind the buildings are more buildings. Russian tenements have lawns in front of the building, and small parks in the back, often with picnic tables, barbecue spots, playgrounds, and various small businesses (think restaurants, salons, corner shops). They’re actually quite pleasant, the buildings are just really ugly. But you barely see the building from the greenspace, trees cover them. And there is parking, usually in large lots a short walk away. You either rent a spot or a garage. It’s a perfectly fine solution, especially if you carpool for your commute (which most residents did), only the driver needs to walk to the car, the others can just wait by their building.
Urbanists are dumb, but so is mindlessly bashing commieblocks just because the cold war propaganda you were raised with said they’re bad. They genuinely weren’t.

Their thoughts on "efficiency" are extremely cherry-picked. If we were going for a better society and they're going for full authoritarianism, they should be rounding up all the invalids and welfare recipients, and either assign them labor or just gas them. You do that, and suddenly you'll have a lot more space/housing to play around with.
Their version of "efficiency" is: "Your yard and low-rise house is not dense enough. It will be demolished and replaced with an 80-unit apartment building. No, these do not have parking. Glory to Pedestria."

They also refuse to acknowledge that commercial real estate is a lot more efficient in the suburbs than in the inner city. One 100,000 sq ft grocery store has fewer staff and more shelf area than 100 1000 sq ft stores. It can also be stocked by a few semis instead of a fleet of small trucks. The grocery store also can have more variety than the bodegas because every bodega has to dedicate space for the same set of staples.
Big box stores killed the walkable Main Street because they are significantly cheaper due to their lower overhead. This isn’t just an American thing, for example, many British cities have empty High Streets and booming strip malls.

The commieblocks were built because World War II decimated most cities in the eastern bloc and they needed housing fast for millions of homeless people. So many of those commieblocks were put together in just a few weeks.
Also most small shops are shit. Many of them have character but I care less about that than the ability to get a variety of goods. The concept of having to buy from a greengrocer and then walk a block away to a butcher and then another to a baker is a shit idea. In the 15 minute city concept, add in a bunch of shitskins looking to sell you pirated movies, knockoff watches or looking to pick your pocket. In fact the whole concept of a fifteen minute city is just another way to inflict niggers on law abiding whites. The planners of this shit are going to be able to get around this and the r/fuckcars retards are just the useful idiots and commissars looking to inflict this on the rest of us.
