Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

Her attitude toward health is that of somebody who is still young, and hasn't yet had her life go off the rails due to a preventable, lifestyle-driven condition. There's a tendency for young adults in general to think of themselves as indestructible, and to leave concerns about health to boring, fun-deficient "old folks," who, they believe, don't know how to truly enjoy themselves. That those old folks had their fun, and might actually know a thing or two about long-term consequences of youthful excesses, is lost on them.

Aubrey's also ableist as hell (because every FatLib activist is). Yes, there are people who got a shit roll of the genetic dice, or ugly-pranked by Fate, who will never be truly healthy or active, no matter what they do. But to suggest that the best pleasure available to them is to stuff their faces, and that there are no consequences for doing so, and therefore expecting them to be "obsessed" with health is unreasonable, is just ridiculous. Seriously, somebody needs to make her sit at the kids' table at Christmas dinner, because this kind of thinking is absolutely juvenile.

Wonder how many Ozempic DMs she got.

Just don't eat the entire box of mac and cheese yourself. It's not that hard, you don't need a crash diet or hyper aggressive calorie counting. People make weight loss way too complicated, which I think is part of the problem.

Eat until you're satisfied, not full and get up off your fat ass and move around for a bit. There is no secret to losing weight. It's just "eat less and move more".

If all you do is count calories then you will not lose the weight as it will come back. You need to exercise and give yourself the time to lose the weight.

Someone brought up unwellfatty2baddie, formerly 509.to.damnshesfine, a few pages ago. She's now in the hospital for sepsis resulting from out-fatting her car.

And this is why smaller steering wheels were created so these lardasses could still drive without the steering wheel digging into their enormous bellies.

But this is actually very telling about how lazy these people truly are.

Instead of doing something to prevent it like losing weight, she kept on driving, not keeping that part covered or clean until it wore down so much to cause an open wound which got infected.

The more I hear about these lazy fuckers the more I seriously wonder how are they still alive?

No one needs to exercise to lose weight. There are obvious health benefits to exercise but anyone can lose weight by sitting on their couch.

Exercise can actually be detrimental to weight loss because people vastly overestimate the amount of calories they burn through exercise and activity watches make this problem worse.

People often forget the phrase "you can't outrun your fork."

You don't need to. But exercise + diet is faster. And it has the advantage of keeping your metabolism high and can ensure you keep the weight off for longer.

So I'm chilling, watching a youtuber visit 1-star rated theme parks. I decided to look up the most recent reviews for one of the parks, saw this and just had to share. I cannot be sure if this is real but it doesn't give off any troll vibes to me.

Something tells me that's not serious.

Anybody who's 836 pounds wouldn't be able to walk much less go on water park rides.

Only slightly faster and no, it doesn't affect your metabolism, just how much you can get away with eating, which is only an extra 1-200 calories. 500 calories less a day is still only 1 lb of weight loss a week no matter who you are and if you're smart and don't eat exercise calories back, then up to 700 calories less a day. The only exceptions seem to be thyroid conditions.

FFS, counting calories is easy AF with apps now. Some of them can even read UPCs and input the info. A couple of clicks and you're done. You don't even need to math. They can even sort of calculate calories you "earn" by getting off your ass and moving around.

But......waaaaaaah........if I input the info for my twenty Oreos, I'm "out" of calories for the day and it makes me feel bad.......waaaaaah........and if I'm on something that encourages me to eat salad instead of cheesecake, I get sadz.

My Fitness Pal works for me. Used Noom to lose a lot of weight, switched to MFP because I can track nutritional info like protein, vitamins and minerals better. It's painless, you just have to stop being a retard and NOT EAT SHIT 24-7.

When they used "weight" instead of "wait" was also a clue. I don't spend much time with our bloated bovines so attempting to visualize that kind of weight is difficult. The place was Kalahari and they do have slides - again, hard for me to imagine without the image morphing into a hippo's play area at the zoo haha.

Also, don't drink your calories, and don't snack. No Starbeetus drinks; no 100-calorie snack packs, no nibbling on crapfood left in the break room. Avoid highly-processed foods, and learn to cook, just like all of your non-fat fuck ancestors did.

People who have always managed to stay slim because they have no trouble practicing moderation around food might be able to eat and drink whatever they like, but if you've ever been a serious fatty, you're different, and need to leave those bad habits behind. It sucks, and it's not fair, but grow up, accept it, and deal with it like an adult.

Eat meals that will sustain you. Focus on protein, quality fats, and lower-GI carbs. Drink plenty of water (and don't tell me you don't fucking like water, because that is some seriously childish shit). If you still need snacks between meals, and it feels like legit stomach-hunger and not just mouth-hunger, keep swapping out more protein and good fats for carbs until that goes away.

And then keep doing that for the rest of your life.

I cannot be sure if this is real but it doesn't give off any troll vibes to me.
She allegedly weighs 836 lbs.? Troll. She'd be in a nursing home, or living on a floor mattress if she was that fat. Look at the My 600 lb. Life deathfats, most of whom are no longer ambulatory at much lower weights than 600 lbs.

Protip: if you're going to LOLtroll like this, exaggerating certain details is a dead giveaway, and ruins it. Saying she was 436 lbs. would have sufficed.

True.

Small PL:

I had to have orthopedic surgery a few years ago. As part of rehab, I bought an indoor cycle to use at home. It was fancy, with the whole “here’s how many miles you cycled” and “here’s how many calories you burned.”

And at the end of an hour, with the bike on high resistance, the calorie count was… pathetic.

I thought back to every time I heard someone excuse ordering that huge dessert by saying they did X amount of exercise that day, and realized how wrong the math was.

It's not so much that their math is wrong, it's that their perception of their effort is highly incorrect.

Now I'll say that I've done plenty of bike rides where I have burned upwards of 3,200 calories in a single ride. These are typically century rides (100 miles, or ~161 km for metricfags) that take ~6 hours to complete. My favorite rides, though, are typically metric centuries (~62 miles) that burn roughly 2,500 calories in <4 hours. This calorie burn is calculated via Strava (or Zwift when done virtually) using weight, distance, gradient of the road, heart rate data and power meter data, so it's pretty accurate.

These chungomuffins think they're burning the equivalent of a century ride in calories with a 15 minute spin session, because them being out of breath makes them think it's supremely vigorous effort.

The biggest fault of fitness apps like MFP, in my opinion, is that it gives the user the option to estimate their activity level and bases caloric allowances on TDEE. 'I walk vigorously because I'm out of breath! I am an athlete!' Noooo, you're actually below sedentary levels of activity, because your 'vigorous' walk was 500 steps and even sedentary activity levels assume typically up to 5000 steps a day.

But woe if you point people to accurate BMR calculators and then direct them to better exercise calorie calculators, and make them operate off BMR vice TDEE. They'd cry about the minimal caloric range they'd have, and the fact that 30 minutes of vigorous swimming only burns ~250 calories, so they can have a single 4 Oreo snack pack after that workout.
