An omnipotent God couldn't have created a world where suffering is unnecessary to appreciate good things and to test your faith?good things can only be appreciated if bad things exist
also to test your faith
no, according to abrahamic religionAn omnipotent God couldn't have created a world where suffering is unnecessary to appreciate good things and to test your faith?
If God is omniscient, that was all according to his plan. He planned suffering to start existing. Some bitch named Eve fucked it up for everyone.

I bet it's Zoroastrian influence. They held the belief of an all good deity in Ahura Mazda. It's also Jesus's fault. In Judaism, god is an unknowable thing more akin to something out of lovecraft than a cool old guy in the sky, whose motives can't be fathomed and whose form can only be inferred due to the existence of humanity. Christianity made god human, thereby making it more difficult to explain away god's more esoteric behavior such as pulling some cult initiation shit on Abraham and siccing bears on a bunch of stupid kids for making fun of a bald guy.I was always puzzled why the idea of an all good deity came after Polytheism.
It was a problem that created itself. Nobody asked this of Zeus because Zeus was very obviously a capricious dickhead and there was always the excuse that someone else's meanie God did whatever the bad thing was instead of yours.

it came before. literally the beginning of time.I was always puzzled why the idea of an all good deity came after Polytheism.

why does him being omniscient mean it was his plan. seeing the future doesnt mean you planned the futureIf God is omniscient, that was all according to his plan. He planned suffering to start existing.
the bible, like all of it, is the exact opposite of this loltaking the Bible as canon... humans were created to generate a population of worshippers who willingly choose to hang out in his treehouse while everyone else gets thrown in the garbage or whatever.
