Littman might have spared us the headache of quibbling over the exact meaning of “rapid” by choosing another term—say, “adolescent-onset gender dysphoria with novel and unknown etiology.”
To be fair to Littman, when she presented her original findings, she was just alerting the scientific community of a new group of transsexuals with a constellation of distinct characteristics, especially a common etiology. How that group is eventually defined, or what it should best be called, could be left after further research and deliberation. Unfortunately troons raised a big stink at her paper, so the term ROGD prematurely stuck, and if researchers are to change the name today, transsexual activists will gloat over how the whole concept is being discredited.

This study is not very useful. What the researchers attempt to show is that the athletic differentials between "non-binary" men and "non-binary" women is not smaller than the differentials between normal men and normal women. (Basically what it means is that the "non-binary" tag does not magically alter the physique of the person). Although the data agree with this hypothesis, the researchers cannot obtain a statistically significant result.

What's more researchers cannot ascertain the actual sexes of those athletes in the non-binary category. So they have to "use the novel technique of modelling the likely sex of athletes based on their given names. We do not claim that one can perfectly predict sex based on an athlete’s given name. Instead, we develop a probability model for sex." It introduce a lot of noise, to which direction I cannot be sure.

No matter what bullshit Tony is peddling, his constructs are always purposefully designed to fully exonerate troonery. The "problem" is always external to his sexual fetish. In his diseased mind, troonery is a "perfect" state of being. It has no faults or shortcomings, shares no blame or culpability, and is exempt from inquiry or criticism.

It’s Christmas Eve today for those who celebrate. I know that can be hard for heroin addicts with family. Please use this thread to scream into the void about how you just need some fucking tar or find suboxone for the shortage around you.

I hope that your families give you the gift of some fucking cash this year.

I JUST NEED SOME FUCKING TAR!!!!!!!!!!

If your family doesn't let you shoot up at the dinner table they don't love you. Don't let those bigots try to send you to "conversion therapy" to get "clean" because the DSM V doesn't even recognize heroin addiction as a mental disorder. Find a loving family that lets you score when you need or helps you pawn your grandma's TV. I remember back in the 1990's when kids would bully you and call you a loser just because you needed to use hard street drugs and all because of the screens at the start of arcade games. Luckily the internet provided a place for drug addicts to be affirmed by a true community and share helpful tips about what to do if your clients overdosed. I knew from a very young age that my career would be about doing journalism about the genocidal efforts to stop people from getting unauthorized life saving medical care. Sex work is real work especially when you need to fund that life saving medical care because fucking capitalism refuses to and going ASS TO ASS is heckin queer and valid.

Our holiday gift from Tony is a reminder that troonery is purely mimickry and not a legitimate identity.

There's been a bunch of them and it spread into other fields. History had it even for a bit, where they advocated that history can be whatever you want eventually leading to Black Athena, but now if any of those famous names are mentioned that work is just skipped over like it never happened and wasn't a big part of the field for a few years
The origin of this kind of thing in history came out of formalist and then structuralist literary criticism in the 50s-70s, and came to prominence when Hayden White published Metahistory, which showed that nineteenth-century historians' texts used certain literary structures (satire, romance, comedy, tragedy) as sense-making apparatus - the argument was basically that history is not a science but a form of literature, as different historians could use the same evidence and, by structuring ("emplotting") that evidence differently within a narrative framework, gave the historical events a different meaning according to their preferred literary mode of sense-making.

I also (for some unfathomable reason) actually took a look at some of Tony's blogpieces recently.

If you are not out… It's important to find a private space where you can express your true self. Join your favorite affirming Discord server or keep phone numbers of trusted individuals who know and understand your real identity. Consider wearing an item of clothing feels affirming, like a necklace, a bracelet hidden under a long-sleeved shirt, or even a special pair of socks. Remember, it's entirely normal for dysphoria to intensify during family gatherings. Plan for recovery time afterward, where you can spend time with people you're out to and focus on your wellbeing.
Gotta ensure they keep in contact with the cult at all times, the not-yet-fully committed members must be surveilled and kept on a leash while away from cult centres.
And here we have another example of Tony not reading past the headline before sperging out

Trans people are the international boogeyman nearly all far right groups have chosen in their movement to use an oppressed minority’s elimination in order to vault to power.

What gives Tony away as a mid-wit: overuse of cliches, such that a sentence becomes laborious and unclear, and the use of multiple cliched phrases and expressions in a single sentence. Obscures his meaning, because he thinks that avoiding the use of a perfectly clear term (such as, for eg in this case, "abuse of a minority to gain power") in favour of coining an awkward new one ("in order to vault to power") makes him sound smart. Instead it just shows that he's incapable of thinking for himself and has to rephrase commonplaces in order to sound insightful.
The other thing he does a lot, and it makes for really awkward reading, is to over-use "hence" and "therefore," especially at the start of a sentence (Tony, a little tip: "hence" needs to be followed by a noun-phrase, not a verbal sentence). Linking two statements together with "hence" or "therefore" without explaining the connection between them is not a substitute for a sound/logical line of reasoning or argument, though he seems to think it is.
It is something first-year undergrads do a lot because they haven't really figured out how to structure an argument properly. Tony should, having done/started a master's, be better than this

On another note, this is from an article he linked to from his blog recently (link):

Uh oh! If Leor Sapir's employer leaning conservative was such a problem for his peer-reviewed letter to the editors, then this is downright disqualifying! Who wants to bet that Organon make puberty blockers or synthetic hormones?

And I'll just leave this here as a way of wishing merry christmas to everyone:

The problem with Hayden White is he never explained why things have to fit into one of the four nor why there's only four and why each component is only within that one of the four. Instead he basically just kept republishing Metahistory rearraigned and calling his critics too unsophisticated to understand. It probably doesn't help the lack of longevity of his "masterpiece" that historiography was already advancing as a field and he seemed ignorant of most of it. As much as historians are still pretty ignorant about historiography you can pretty easily tell why nobody teaches White when a lot of standard generic historiography texts are far more nuanced and do less fart sniffing than a lot of that crap was.

Gross, who would trust a pharmaceutical company with this many cis in the leadership?

The fact that Tony is angry about reasonable and appropriate parenting standards causes me great pause about the soundness of his judgment with his own kid. Anyone who thinks that there sexual fetish should be at the center of the holiday celebration shouldn't have kids.

if the parents suck so bad, why is the tranny kid there at all?

answer: hoping to get a few checks and gift cards, as well as decent homemade food instead of their usual microwaved garbage.

The least these manipulative greedheads can do, is abide by house rules & show some damn manners.

And btw, this happens to everybody, for godsake:
I have 2 relatives who prefer/use the proper forms of their names, examples-- Richard, Robert, James, Jonathan. Instead, our grandma (who loves us very much) still calls them by the names they were called as children, e.g. Ricky, Bobby, Jimmy & Johnny. Likewise, the girls often get reduced to their childhood nicknames.
None of these people complain, we're happy our old granny still remembers/loves us. The old nicknames remind us of our childhood, our family... and how much we loved seeing relatives at Christmas.

Only total dicks would complain about their grandma calling them the name they have always called them, trans or not.

Authoritative expert, Doctor Professor Snaggle Tooth Reed, has spoken ROGD is "not a real thing." Notablt, Tony's strawman argument is the same strawman argument Urquhart tried to make that Leor Sapir destroyed.

Zac's eyes, my God.

Look, I know hair and makeup does not equal "being a woman," and neither of them would be women no matter how much they changed their appearance. But it's still amusing just how little effort Zach puts into his crossdressing, given how manly he looks naturally. At least men in prison can reasonably expect their gay prison-wives to paint on some makeup made from M&Ms or thread their eyebrows with dental floss. Zack just looks like a nerdy dude with a slightly weird haircut.

So they just dumped a puzzle out and then decided this was the best time to take a picture. There's not a single piece joined together.

Despite their best efforts, can still see mutiple piles of crap in the background.

I like to think Tony chose that giant puzzle as a way of desperately fending off attempts at intimacy.

"I can't come to bed and tend to your neovagina just yet, Zooey, I just need to try to get this puzzle finished!"

(And then every night he sneaks out of bed and breaks up the pieces he'd put together, like Penelope unraveling her weaving to ward off suitors in the Odyssey)

That guide sucked so hard I'm going to write my own.

As a guest at your own relatives:
  • Observe house rules. The less trouble you cause for the host, the more likely you will be invited back.
  • If someone acts rude or tries to drag you into a fight, ignore them or act as polite as possible, and steer the conversation towards peace - the host will appreciate it.
  • If someone hates you, do not bait them into a fight. It will stress you out and will likely get just you and NOT the person you hate expelled. It is not worth it to win a petty fight so you don't get invited back.
  • If the topic comes to gender or something that makes you uncomfortable, ignore it or leave the conversation. Go to another room for a break.
  • If your host confronts you about a problem they have with your identity, kindly tell them that they're making things uncomfortable for you and you wish to enjoy the holiday by spending time on things that are not your gender. You understand things are hard for them, but are doing your best to be peaceful and hope they respect that. If they press the issue because they don't see you enough, you will have to talk with them: it happens.
  • If the event goes too sour for your taste, go home early. You can tell people why in exact reason when you're home. It is up to them to judge if you were overreacting. If someone tries to stop you, you can listen to them if you feel they're right, but make sure to listen to yourself and put your foot down. In the moment, you can just say you want to go home and don't have to explain yourself, you can do that as an adult. You can always meet up with them on a later date if you like them.
  • Sometimes people do things to push your buttons on accident or because they think it's the right thing to do. Try not to hold it against them and understand they care about you.
  • If you get angry, start asking yourself "why does this make me angry?" Understanding your anger, frustration, & sadness is key to relieving it. Sometimes, you ARE overreacting: this isn't a horrible trait, it just is a thing that a lot of people (nice and mean) have. The key thing is to recognize it and take steps to de-escalate it.
  • Read up on how to calm yourself down when in a spiral or overthinking, as well as how to diffuse difficult talks. Advice that works for most hard topics of conversation works here too.
  • If you have more than one invite, go to the friendliest one or the one that causes less stress.
If you are alone:
  • Treat yourself (within reason). Do something good, whether it's cook a nice dinner then watch movies or do a hobby you haven't done in a while.
  • Remind yourself there will be more Christmases: each year is a new year with different changes and people.
  • Allow yourself space to feel sad and mourn, but do not wallow in self pity or self hatred. Feel sad, recognize you feel sad, but recognizing thoughts on hating yourself can lead into destructive thinking. Address them as thoughts, and if you think you really need to change something, do so after Christmas. Talk to your therapists or someone you trust about plans to change or how to fix something, and ask for strategies for coping with negative thoughts and anxiety.
  • See if anyone around you is also alone for the holidays and offer to join up. Sometimes all you need to do is offer to organize something and you'll get more responses than you thought.
  • Make peace with the fact that you're alone. You may be alone on Christmas, but you are never the only person alone for any reason on Christmas.
  • Call people you love and make sure to wish them a good Christmas or holiday, speak with friend groups, and so forth. A phone call or voice chat can help a lot more than you think.
  • Have a get together with friends, family, or loved ones before or after the holiday happens. It's more important to see people you like when you can than just on a specific day every year. Make up holidays happen to people who work in gas stations and hospitals all the time.

There are more strategies to cope with the holidays than I listed up there for Trans and not trans people out there. The fact that Erin Reed glossed over most of them was fucking insane and insulting. He couldn't even be assed to plagiarize a psych article.

How many times can he accuse Littman et al. of saying things they did not actually say before it stops being a "good faith argument"?
Probably never. He just babbles. He doesn't read, or understand. For example, he just put this out after seeing Zinnia Jones tweet about it. It is obvious neither one of them read it. Another dead giveaway is the paper is paywalled.

The dead giveaway that neither Tony or Zac Antolak read or understand the paper is in the abstract which directly refutes the very claim they are making.

Abstract

Our study examines the prevalence of gender transitions in Sweden over time and documents the sociodemographic characteristics of people transitioning in different periods. We use national administrative data covering the transgender population from 1973 to 2020 and analyze two common events in a gender transition: the earliest diagnosis of gender incongruence and the change of legal gender. We have three main findings. First, the measured prevalence of both types of events is relatively low in all periods, although it has increased substantially since the early 2010s. Second, the recent increase in transition prevalence is most pronounced among people in early adulthood; in particular, young transgender men drive an increase in overall transition rates through 2018, followed by moderate declines in 2019 and 2020. Third, transgender men and women have substantially lower socioeconomic outcomes than cisgender men and women, regardless of the age at which they transition or the historical period.
