Oger is banned from participating in the next civic election owing to financing irregularities and election law violations on the part of his party, Progress Vancouver.
Progress Vancouver was a YIMBY party with an odd roster.
Probably immaterial since their election performance was a rounding error.

Morgane Oger, another Progress Vancouver candidate, said being disqualified from the next election was “unwelcome news.”
“ … I’m confused by this,” Oger said Tuesday. “I’m a member of the party that provincially worked to bring those campaign rules in. I believe in those campaign rules and I believe in adhering to campaign finance rules.”
Oger said she was disappointed that the party’s “sloppy campaign finance conduct” resulted in de-registration. She said she joined the party to mount a left-of-centre campaign to counter those of the NPA and Sim’s ABC party. Oger said the party seemed to stumble out of the gate when fundraising didn’t seem to go as planned.
“This party had showed a great deal of potential at first,” Oger said. “I expect that what happened is the money didn’t show up.”
Elections B.C. said it will provide updates when the probe is complete, but couldn’t provide a timeline.

In VERY worrying news, he's been appointed to the newly reformed board of Atira.
Atira is a private BC NGO that manages the shithole slums that drug addicts and penniless elderly are assigned to live in in Vancouver- SRO's. Think the Judge Dredd megablocks, but nominally run by non-profits. Atira is one of such non-profits, and it manages a portfolio of slum hotels. Atira landed in hot shit last year when it was revealed that its CEO was getting sweetheart deals from her literal sweetheart, her husband, who ran BC Housing - a governmental organization. BC Housing was awarding Atira contracts very liberally despite this literal conflict of interest since the two CEOs were literally married. This means that government money was being dumped into a private corp by a man who directly stood to benefit. This predictably led to a shitshow, the CEO of Atira handled herself shamefully by accusing journalists of smearing her and refusing to take any of the concerns on good faith, etc. etc. in the end she got ousted as she should have for being so fuckin slimy.
So Atira has a new lady CEO and a new board. Unfortunately Oger is on that board. Oger doesn't pay his own rent, doesn't take care of his kids, and has been appointed to a position of responsibility despite demonstrating no ability to handle this in his own life. This only bodes well for drama. So this is terrible news for the tenants of any Atira buildings, who are already some of the most vulnerable individuals in Vancouver. I just can't wait for their scant public funding to get diverted to Ronan's black tie trans fundraisers and away from the broken windows and smoke alarms!

Giving Ogre a position of power/award is like giving Fatrick a Pulitzer Prize. I can only assume that whoever is running things is a booger eater so stupid that some single celled organisms are brilliant in comparison. If Canada was a just place, Oger would be the town freak everyone laughed at for being a gross weirdo. Instead he's praised for shutting down women's shelters for not wanting to get girldick raped. Very sad to see.

Honestly, if I didn't know from extensive experience how stupid people in management are, I'd suspect that Oger was hired because they are planning to use a known narcissistic scammer as a cover for their own scams. But I do have that extensive experience, and I guarantee that the hiring board is full of brain dead SJWs who think that the endless stream of people who can personally attest to Oger's raging personality disorder are twansfobic bigets.

That's exactly what's worrying about this appointment. The entire poverty industry in BC is fucked and decisions like this kind of add credence to the critics who are saying the entire thing is unfixably corrupt no matter the good intentions. Atira's tenants are dirt poor drug addicts who won't notice their money being mismanaged so they're ideal victims if you're a cynical selfish upper-class prick looking to siphon money into your own pocket, which is exactly what Janice Abbott, the previous CEO, did.
