Grits is like oatmeal but instead of using oats you use corn meal. Because the corn bits are so small it's gonna look a little bit more like mashed potatoes. You can make it thick or runny as you want. You can make it as sweet or savory as you want. You can make it a side dish or the main course. It's pretty versatile and a southern staple.Question for burgers: Is grits closer to oatmeal or rice- porridge?
